Owl in a heart with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared a cute card for you!

Take a look:
I decided to go with a clean and simple look, so I started out by inkblending a heart towards the left edge of the card. I used distress oxides since they are really reach in color.

Next, I stamped out the cute owl from the Foxes stamp set and color it in using alcohol markers. I used gray for the owl since I wanted to make it a snowy owl.
Then, I die cut a heart in white and cut the top part off. I stamped the sentiment that reads 'you are the best' and put the owl image at the top of white piece.

I popped the owl up using foam tape and then I added some black crystals to finish off the card.

Thank you so much for joining me!

I like you 'beary' much with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts with you today. Valentine's day has just passed and this doesn't mean we shouldn't tell our loved ones how we feel about them. That's why I made a cute card full of love!

Take a look:
First, I made the background for which I stamped out the 'XOXO' a bunch of times on a scalloped rectangle. I used three colors of pink Distress oxides since I knew I will color in the hearts on the image with the same color shceme.

Then I stamped out the panda holding an envelope and some hearts from the Lovely pandas stamp set and colored the image in using alcohol markers.
I felt like the background is too bold so I added a piece of vellum behind the panda to soften it out.

Then, I stamped out the sentiment that reads 'I like you beary much' in black ink on white cardstock.

I glued everything together with double sided tape and foam tape.

Thank you so much for joining me!

Birthday puppy with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts with another cute birthday card using the On the table stamp set!

Take a look:
I decided to make a symmetrical card this time, so I stamped out a dog and two bouquets. I colored everything in using alcohol markers and for the details I used white gel pen.

Next, I used my paper trimmer and cut a piece of brown paper. I used a kraft color since it's a color of the wood and I wanted this piece to look like table.
Then, I stamped out the sentiment in black ink on top of white paper. I used paper trimmer to cut it down to a strip and since I wanted to have a symmetrical card I put it directlly in the center of the kraft piece.

The last thing I had to do was to glue everything together for which I used double sided tape and foam tape.

That's it for today, thank you so much for joining me.

Friendship card with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts with you today with a cute friendship card!

Take a look:
I decided to go with a simple design that has a valentine's day feel to it. I think it's important to remember letting our loved ones know how do we feel about them and that's the reason I made this friendship card.

First, I stamped out the penguins from the Valentine penguins stamp set and colored them in using alcohol markers. I used pinks for the hearts and the black for their bodies.
Then, I cut down a piece of gray patterned paper that I put on the top half of my card. I placed the three penguins on the edge of it.

The last thing I added was a sentiment that reads 'I'm so glad you're my friend' which I put on a die cut banner.

This finished of the card. Thank you so much for joining me!

Fun winter card with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts here with you today with a cute card!

Take a look:
This time I decided to use the stamp set called Happy fall, but I made a winter card with it. I started out by ink blending. I used two distress oxide inks - Cracked pistaccio and Broken china.

I masked off the top and the bottom of my card base, so I got the ink blended area only in the center.. For the bottom edge I tear the paper and used that as a mask and for the top one I used a normal post it note sticky.
Then, I stamped out the two squirrels and colored them in using alcohol markers. I placed one on the left hand side, towards the top and one in the middle of the ground.

I added a lovely kite to the squirrel that is standing and draw in it's string using black marker. Then I used a gray markers to add some shadow under the squirrel's feet.

The last thing I added was the sentiment that reads 'Yippeeh!!!'. I stamped it out in black on a white card stock.

Thank you so much for joining me!

Take a look:
I used a brand new set called Balancing mouse and I stamped it using the Memento tuxido black ink. I decided to stamp out the square frame from the Christmas light along with a mouse. I colored everything in using alcohol markers.

I used scissors to cut everything out since I made a custom shape with the lights.
Next, I heat embossed a sentiment that reads 'Merry Christmas' for which I used white embossing powder.

I placed everything on a piece of kraft card stock that I covered in white splatters. I used white paint for it and I put the most of it in the center of the square.

Once the paint was dry I glued eveything together using liquid glue and foam tape.

Stitched Christmas card with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared a cute stitched Christmas card! :)

Take a look:
First thing I did was the background. Even though it's a small area it took me about 3 hours to stitch it all. I went with a scene look, so I made white snowy ground and blue sky with some white snow flakes in between.

After the background was stitched I stamped out the cute cat from the Carol Kitten stamp set. I colored it in using alcohol markers in traditional Christmas colors - green and red.
Then, I used the stamps from the same set to stamp out the sentiment. I heat embossed the 'to the world' part with white embossing powder on a black card stock and stamped out the 'joy' word with red ink.

Once everything was ready I cut down a piece of gray card stock which I put behind my stitched panel. I glued everything together using foam tape and liquid glue.

That's it for today, thank you so much for joining me and hope to see you soon!

Cute birthday owl with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have prepared a cute birthday card!

Take a look:
I used the brand new Owl reather be with you stamp set and I colored the images in using alcohol markers.

For the background I went with a messy watercoloring in blue. I added some splatters in the same color to make it just a bit more interesting.
Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and die cut it with stitched rectangle die. After die cutting the outside edge I added a scalloped detail using smaller scalloped rectangle die.

I placed the watercolored background behind the window I have created with the die and I glued the owl on top of it.
The last thing I added was the sentiment that reads 'whooo.. is having a birthday?'. I heat embossed it in white over a black cardstock and then I die cut it using an oval. Then, I added two black dots to make the oval look like a speach bubble.

That's it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.

Wild foxy birthday with Kaja

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I will show you my first card as a GSD design team member!

Take a look at the card:
I made a cute fall card that is perfect for these days! I started by ink blending and I used three colors of Distress ink - Forest moss, Peeled paint and Crushed olive. I went from darkest at the bottom towards the lightest at the top.

To make the background more interesting I used clear water and make some splatters. This gives a nice effect of rainy fall weather.

Next, I die cut the background into a stitched square and I started working on the images.

I used two GSD stamp sets for the images, the main one is called Foxes (the fox image and mashrooms) and the second one is called Happy fall (the leaves). I stamped everything out with memento tuxido black ink and then used alcohol markers to color them in.

Next, I placed everything on the inkblended panel using liquid glue and foam rectangles.

The last thing I added was the sentiment. I really wanted to make a birthday card so I used the sentiment that reads 'it's your birthday go wild!' from Go wild! stamp set.

To finish the card off, I glued the sentiment and the background down using double sided tape.

That's it for today! Thank you so much for joining me! See you next time.

Easy spinner card [video]

Hello there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I am honoured to be guest designing for Gerda Steiner designs once again! :)

I prepared really easy and quick spinner card for you. I used the set called Go wild! You can see what I have created right here:

Since this is an interesting technique I made a video tutorial for this card so you can watch how it's done. So, if you want to know more about how to do it just join me and I will walk you through it. :)

I decided to make a card that has a 'wild' fill to it. I achived that by using the colors that are really muted down and are also found in the wild. I didn't want to make it too complicated, that's why I colored just the spots on the giraffes and leave the their bodies as they are. I added a bit of depth by hand drawing the stitching detail and leaving giraffes 'in front' of it.

I have to admit that I fell in love with this set in the moment I saw it for the first time! I meant.. who wouldn't?! Is just another Gerda Steiner designs must have! :)

That's it for today. Hope you enjoyed my card and the video tutorial! See you again soon!

This set is perfect for making boy themed cards and since I have two nephews I know they will love every card I will make for them with these stamps. :)

That's it for today. Hope you enjoyed my card and the video tutorial! See you again soon!
