Snail Christmas delivery....!!

Hey my crafty friends....

It's Ashlee here with you today and I've got a card to share with you featuring the super cute new stamp set "Holiday snail"...

I think this snail looks like he is trying to speedily deliver his presents to all the recipients before Christmas... Do you think he will make it on time hehe??!!

I created an ink blended focal background piece with some distress oxide inks and a stencil from Simon Hurley called backsplash...

Using Copics I coloured up the snail and added him to the card with some foam tape for dimension...

I stamped the sentiments on using Memento tuxedo black ink and finished the card off with some crater lake CP sequins....

Hope you enjoyed my card today and I will be back with some more inspiration for you all next month!!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugs Ashlee

Pug - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a creation with the new digital stamp Pug from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and then I have fussy cut the image.

I have made a card/folder for a giftcard and it also has a matching little card on which you can write a personal message. I have made the card from kraft cardstock and I designed it myself. On the front I glued striped rainbow paper from the Really rainbow petite paper pack from Lawn fawn. I have diecut a circle from white cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies. I also have diecut a matching scalloped circle from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 from Crealies. I applied Worn lipstick Distress ink on the white circle as a background for my image. From a piece of design paper I have diecut a couple of flowers with the Mini flowers & leaves from Simon says stamp. I cut a coupe of leaves from green cardstock with the Leaf cluster Die 066-c from Impression obsession and glued those under the flowers. I decorated the middle of the flowers with a black hotfix gem.

I have made a pocket for a giftcard. The pocket is made from rainbow patterned paper from the Really rainbow petite paper pack from Lawn fawn. I made a hole in the paper with the Gift card sliders die from Crealies. I used the same dies to diecut the black decoration around the hole.

On the bottom part of the card I made a pocket from kraft cardstock and I glued striped rainbow paper from the Really rainbow petite paper pack from Lawn fawn on it. I have diecut the word gefeliciteerd (congratulations) black cardstock with the Handletter gefeliciteerd from Craft emotions and I glued it on the pocket.

In the pocket I have added a white card. I have printed the Pug from Gerda Steiner designs again but a little bit smaller and again I coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils. I have glued the image on the white card. Then I stamped a sentiment (happy birthday) from the set 't is je verjaardag from Els BrigĂ© design on the card. I added a little flower that I have diecut with the Mini flowers & leaves from Simon says stamp and the Leaf cluster Die 066-c van Impression obsession. I doodled lines on the card with a black fineliner.

  • color the images with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • create a background on a stitched panel cut from smooth white cardstock with the help of Distress Oxide Inks (Wilted Violet, Black Soot) and a Blending Brush
  • add some splatters for more texture
  • stamp the spider webs from the Gerda Steiner Designs Bats set with Versamark and heat-emboss them with WOW! Singing in the Rain embossing powder
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Ghosts set onto a piece of torn vellum with Versamark and heat-emboss it with black glitter embossing powder
  • add a strip of purple glitter paper to the top and the bottom of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

Pugs & Kisses by Karla

Hello friends! Karla back today with an adorable birthday card using the sweet little Pug Digital Stamp from the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop. This cutie comes with the Pugs & Kisses and On Your Birthday sentiments that I’ve used here. You can either print him out with the sentiments attached, or cut them apart as I did. I decided to use kraft cardstock to print the digital image on. I always print in Fast Draft so I use less ink and like the way it works with my copics!

I stencilled over a patterned paper background, added some diecut swirls, and selected a little frame that came with one of the SCT Kits to frame the cute pup coloured with copics. I really love the muted colours you get by colouring on kraft. I added some white gel pen highlights to finish him off.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to head over to the Gerda Steiner Designs Shop to see what inspired you to create!! Have a fantastic week friends!

Hugs,
Karla

Scene Card | Tangled Penguin

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a couple stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs’ stamp set. I am using the new Tangled Penguin stamp set along with one of the penguins from Valentine Penguins to create a fun, holiday, scene card.

For the penguin from the Valentine Penguins and worked to mask off the balloon string so I could replace it with the star from the Tangled Penguin stamp set.  I added the remaining elements from the Tangled Penguin stamp set, and create the baseline of the scene. I added a few extra elements to create the setting.

For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock to finish off the card. I also trimmed down the card so I could mat it on a black card base so there was a black border.

I created a video tutorial so you can see how I created the scene and put everything together.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

MERRY CHRISTMAS by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends, Noga here and I am so happy to share with you another project for Gerda Steiner Designs today.

My card featuring the adorable Holiday snail stamp set. How cute is this snail??

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. For the background, I die cut the winter forest cover die out of white card stock. Behind it, I ink blended a background using Distress Oxide in blueprint sketch and tumbled glass, splashed it with water and glued it behind the winter forest cover piece.

Next I colored the adorable image using copic markers and glued it with foam tape to my panel for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from this stamp set using black ink.

I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Thanks for stopping by,

Happy Halloween

Margreet here with a card to share today.
I have made a Halloween card with Ghost Kitty, a digital stamp from
I started with blending the background with distress oxide inks: wild honey, faded jeans, seedless preserves and black soot.
Printed  the image, colored it with copics, fussy cut it and attached it on the Halloween ribbon Mini Pumpkins from Crafty Ribbons.
The spider is also for sale at Crafty Ribbons.
Happy Halloween!
xxx Margreet

So Much Snail Cuteness!

Happy Friday everyone! Cathy here sharing a card today featuring the adorable new Holiday Snail stamp set! This snail is just the cutest ever and these stamps are PERFECT for all of you out there who get behind on Christmas cards and mail yours after New Year's. You know who you are...

All of the sentiments in this set are separate so you can leave the belated off and deliver on time too!

First, I stamped the snail and masked the image before inking the background with Spun Sugar distress ink. I then inked a holiday sweater stencil with Worn Lipstick distress ink.

Before I colored the snail, I stamped each sentiment in Peacock Feathers distress ink and again in Versamark ink and heat embossed each with clear embossing powder for a little shine. I like to do this step first before coloring an image just in case I make a mess with the embossing powder or stamp a sentiment crooked, etc.

I added a few die-cut snowflakes that I heat embossed with pink sherbet Wow! embossing powder for some extra sparkle and shine.

Hope you have a fabulous crafty weekend! See you again soon!

Skating By with a Holiday HI!

Howdy all!  Happy Thursday!  I'm Allison Cope and today I’m sharing a rather chilly creation.

My card today features the new digital stamp, “Ice Skating Mouse”.  This is an adorable little mouse adorned with a sweet little hat, warm mitts and a fuzzy winter sweater all decked out in his skates.

I chose to color him using Copic Markers and then add some finer details with Polychromos Pencils.

To create the reflection, I just duplicated my image, flipped it on the horizontal plane and squished it in my photo editing software.

I did have a full video filmed for you but I’ve I can’t seem to get my camera to talk to my computer today so maybe next time I’ll have a video tutorial for you all.

Make sure you check out the Digital Stamp Area in the Gerda Steiner Designs store regularly.  Gerda is always added new images to create with!  PLUS, the digital stamp area is now even easier to search!  You can search for stamps that are birthday, Winter, Spring and Summer themed now much easier.

I hope my card inspires you to get out there and create!  See you again next time!

Hippo in disguise - Larissa

Goodmorning, today I am posting a new card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs.

This time I made a halloween card with the clear stamp Hippo in disguise from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the hippo with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen. I have fussy cut the image. I stamped the Plaid background stamp set from Concord & 9th on a piece of red cardstock with Versafine clair nocturne ink and then I have die cut a rectangle out of it with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 24 from Crealies. I have die cut a banner from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 59 from Crealies. I stamped a sentiment from the set Haunt it from Reverse confetti on it with versamark ink and then I embossed it with white embossingpowder. I have attached the banner on the background with the Tiny attacher from Tim Holtz. I glued the background with foamtape on a white card and then I also used foamtape to glue the image on the card. Boo you....!!

Hey everyone...

It's Ashlee here with you all today and I have a new card to share featuring the super awesome set "Ghosts" which I just love!! (Co-ordinating dies also available)

These ghosts have the coolest expressions, they are so much fun and I think they will be perfect to use on cards any time of the year....

For example this card is a birthday one!!

To start this card I created a fun base using Flock powder from WOW! embossing...

I cut my base in Neenah desert storm cardstock and then using some double sided tape I added strips of it to the base. I first did some striped in the Pink flock and then some strips in the Bright blue flock. The pink strips picked up a bit of the blue but I did'nt mind the colour mix effect that it gave!

I coloured up the 4 ghosts using Copic markers in low C shades and cut out a fun sentiment to go with them using some alpha dies "BOO YOU".

How old I embossed with WOW! opaque bright white embossing powder on black cardstock. This sentiment is also from the ghosts stamp set....

I hope you enjoy my latest inspiration as much as I enjoyed creating it!!
Happy crafting, Hugs Ashlee
