HAPPY NEW YEAR by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends,  Noga here and I am so happy to share with you another project for Gerda Steiner Designs today.

To make this card I took a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and cut a slimline card.

The sky was created by blending shaded lilac and scattered straw distress oxide inks,
I stamped fireworks and heat embossed it with clear powder.

Next I colored the images using copic markers and  glued them to my panel.

Next I stamped a greeting from Holiday Snail 3x4 Clear Stamp Set  using black ink.

I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Warm Wishes | Jeannie Lieu

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today sharing another card. Although Christmas is over, I couldn't resist pulling out a couple stamp sets to create a wintery scene since it's been so chilly where I live. I pulled out Smell Like Christmas and On the Table stamp sets to create a fun scene.

I stamped out a draft version so I could see how I wanted to place everything in my scene so I could do some masking. It really helps if you're a beginner to masking or just don't want to mess up the order of stamping.

I wanted to use the cute mouse and the coffee cup for my scene because anytime it is cold outside, I really enjoy a nice warm drink. The rest just came together. I thought the kitty from the On the Table stamp set was perfect since I had the little mouse on a table. He's adorable and I believe he's staring at the cookies all over the table instead of the mouse. My sister thinks otherwise though.

Although Christmas might be over, I try to use the wintery sets for other cards too so I don't only pull them out for Christmas cards. I know that the little mouse might have a Santa hat on but I think the main purpose of the card is to send warm wishes.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Better Late Than Never!

Howdy all!  Allison Cope here!  I don’t know about you but I always leave some gifts until really late.  Meaning sometimes gifts arrive in the New Year instead of before Christmas.

This year, I left my poor parents-in-law gifts until after the holidays so I had to make a special gift card card for them!
I used the adorable “All Tangled Up – Cat With Lights” digital stamp and also the Christmas tree from the “Holiday with Gifts – Penguin Collection”.

To save myself a little bit of coloring, I dropped a blue back ground in behind my images and then just added some white pen & Stickles dots of snow.

I hope you and your family had an amazing holiday together!  Wishing you all the best for 2020!

Merry Christmas....!!

Hey everyone....

It's Ashlee here today and I hope you have all had an amazing Christmas and are enjoying the holidays!!

Seeing as Christmas is technically over for another year I thought I'd finish off my last post on the GSD blog for this year with another Christmas card and this one features images from the fabulous "Snow angel" set and a sentiment from the "Holiday friends" set from Gerda Steiner designs....

To create this card I stamped a fun background pattern from MFT and then added in the sentiments from the Holiday friends set using a red coloured MFT ink....

I then coloured up the cute images from snow angel with Copic markers and added them to the card base using some foam tape....

I like using foam tape to add my pieces as it gives dimension to the card instead of it being all flat so it makes pieces pop!

A touch of sequins for some bling and the card was all finished....

I hope you all have an amazing end to the year and a super awesome new year, I will see you all in 2020!!

Happy crafting and hugs Ashlee

Merry Christmas! - Jeannie Lieu

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with a card using a couple Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp sets. I just wanted to create a fun Christmas scene surrounding the cute little snowman from the Little Snowman set.

To start off, I stamped out the snowman so I could build a scene around him. Using the tree in the Reindeer and a Tree stamp set, I stamped out a couple trees behind the snowman. The snowman actually looks like he's looking at someone so I wanted to add a friend, which in this case, is a reindeer from the Up on the Housetop stamp set.

The scene was almost done here but I decided I wanted to add Santa in the background behind one of the trees to add a little bit of whimsy.

It's a super simple scene card but I thought it was just perfect!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting & Merry Christmas!

Deck the Halls

Hi there,

it's Tanja here again and this is my last Gerda Steiner Designs Christmas Project that I am posting this year and on my final card I used the cute Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls stamp set:

  • stamp the adorable little cat and two baubles from the Gerda Steiner Designs Deck the Halls set with Lawn Fawn River Rock
  • color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and highlights with a white gel pen
  • stamp the sentiment from the same set with Versafine Clair Warm Breeze
  • add patterned paper behind the scalloped panel before adhering all the layers to the cardbase

I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

See you again next year.

Hugs,

Christmas Gift Tag Freebies by Karla

Hello! Karla here today with a cute quick and easy gift tag solution for you! Of course I've been frantically wrapping and finishing up last minute festive touches before Christmas arrives, and these adorable FREE! 3 Gift Tags digi stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs saved the day when I ran low on tags!

I printed three rows out on 65 lb white cardstock to quickly get 9 gift tags. These are seriously so cute you don't actually need to colour them, but I love colouring and it was great to take a little break to quickly use my Copics.

I kept the colouring pretty basic, adding just a little shading and tracing around some of the images with light colours to add some depth.

A little white gel pen added some highlights and snowy detail.

I finished them off with some festive red and white twine and taped them on the gifts with Christmas washi tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Be sure to check out these cute 3 Gift Tags in the GSD Shop and maybe you'll find something else that's been on your Christmas Wish List! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!!

Big Hugs,
Karla

BALANCING MOUSE CHRISTMAS CARD TUTORIAL

Gerda Steiner Designs - Balancing Mouse Christmas Card

Merry Christmas Big Time!

Happy Friday! Cathy here squeaking in one last Christmas card using one of my favorite all-time stamp sets! The Oh Manatee stamps are just too cute and I couldn't resist putting a Santa hat from the On The Table stamp set on this one.

I love how versatile so many of the Gerda Steiner Designs stamp sets are. Did you know this Santa hat fits a whole bunch of critters from various sets? Many sentiments can be mixed and matched too! The Merry Christmas on this card is from the Balancing Mouse stamp set and it paired up perfectly with the Big Time! sentiment from Oh, Manatee.

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and I'll see you again soon in the New Year with a brand new Gerda Steiner Designs release!

Merry Little Gift Box

Howdy all!  Allison Cope here! Happy Thursday!

My son informed a few days ago that his class was doing a small gift exchange. He told me that he’d like to do some with Jelly Bellies candies so we went out and purchased a bag of them the other night. We had discussed hitting up one of the dollar stores and finding a nice jar but I thought wouldn’t it be fun to create a package for them!

So I found a sheet of cardboard in my stash that was big enough for all the pieces I’d need to create the box. I cut all the pieces for the box sides, bottom and lid and then wrapped them all in a festive red striped patterned paper.  Then I measured each side and sized 4 image panels for each side of the box using the incredible digital stamps we have!

The front panel included the sweet Santa and bunny from the Santa and Three Friends Christmas

The next panel features the adorable little penguin and tree from the Decorating Penguin

The third panel is adorned by the tangled up reindeer from the November/December 2016 Digital Stamp Bundle

And finally, the fourth panel includes the adorable little penguin and holiday tree from the Holiday with Gifts and Penguins Collection

And for the final touches, I included one of our three FREE holiday tags from the 3 Gifttags digital stamp set…

And the topper on the lid is a fun sparkly snowflake!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope I’ve inspired you to create today!  Until next time… happy creating!
