Fa-la-la-llamas - It's the most wonderful time of the year

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a new project on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a card for my Memory dex. It is a card in christmas style, because christmas is approaching fast. ;)

On my card I have used 2 images from the digital stampset Fa-la-la-llamas from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the images with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut the images.

With the Stencil SL120 from Studio light I have die-cut my memory dex card from black cardstock. The bottom part from the red and white patterned paper from the Candy land paper pack (retired) from My favorite things is cut with the same dies. I have tied white embroidery thread around it and then I glued it with foamtape on the black card. I have stamped a sentiment and the snowflakes from the stampset Seasons tweetings (retired) from Winnie & Walter with Versamark ink on the card and then I embossed the image with white embossingpowder. Then I glued the images on the card. I doodled a line around the edge of the card with a black fineliner.

Happy Fall by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends,  Noga  here and I am so happy to share with you another project for Gerda Steiner Designs today.

Today this is a slimline card for fall.

To make this card I took a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and cut a slimline card- 8.5X3.5 inches.

The background was created by blending dried marigold and old paper distress oxide inks,I spired some water onto it and soaked it up with paper towel.

I also splattered some gold paint on the background.

Next I colored the sweet images using copic markers. I glued it to my panel with foam tape for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from the stamp set using black ink.

To finish off, I added some orange sequins and netural twine for decoration.

I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Focal sentiments....!!

Hi friends...

Ashlee here with some more inspiration for you and today I have done something a little different and just used the sentiments from a stamp set as the main focal piece of my card....

I love the sentiment portion of stamp sets and sometimes they really need to be front and centre so for this one I used the lovely sentiment "Thankyou for being in my life" from the "Bunny friends" stamp set!!

For the sentiments I heat embossed them with WOW! Embossing powder...
The main piece of sentiment was done using High heels and the sub sentiment Opaque bright white, both on black cardstock!

To do the card base I started with a piece of light pink Cardstock and added an inked confetti star using a stencil from WOW! creating a perfect place for my sentiment to be placed...

I then finished it off with a touch of Pinkfresh jewels for a bit of bling!!

I hope you like this card and it inspires you to get your sentiment stamps out and give them centre stage, happy crafting...

Hugs Ashlee

Penguin Thank You Card

Hello it’s Karen here again, and welcome. I’ve had a busy few weeks here with visitors and an illness in the family, so I needed a quick and simple card.  And today’s card is exactly that.

I’ve used the very sweet “Penguin with Heart” stamp set for this one and coloured it in with copic markers.  I then die cut a circle (that was the diameter of the inside of the large Paper Rose Geo Mandala die) from an A2 card front.  I embossed this card front with a 3D embossing folder from Creative Expressions called “Hearts on a String”.  I used some Cosmic Shimmer Opal Polish in Pink Thistle to lightly shade the raised areas of the embossing.  This Opal Polish gives the look of pearlescent paper and changes colour depending on whether you use white or black cardstock - lots of fun!

I also die cut the largest of the Geo Mandala dies from Paper Rose, out of white cardstock, and applied the same Opal Polish to it.  I saved the inner circle from the die cut mandala, and added a very light layer of Distress Oxide ink in Shaded Lilac to it.

I then glued the embossed card front to the card base, and glued the inked circle inside the opening.  I added a few die cut clouds to the circle.  The penguin was popped up on foam tape and trimmed to fit inside the circle opening.  I used a spray adhesive to adhere the outer mandala ring around the circle opening.  Finally, I already had the Taylored Expressions sentiment (from their Simple Strips Background set) stamped and clear heat embossed so just popped it up on foam tape and adhered it to the bottom of the circle.

That’s it from me, and I hope you’re having a great day!

Coffee chick - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today it is my turn again to post something on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a little set with a tag and a little box that holds a couple of coffee cups. I have decorated both with the digital stamp Coffee chick from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut both images.

I have made a box for the coffee cups from kraft cardstock. In the box I have made an aperture with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 36 from Crealies. I have glued an acetate sheet behind the window. I have glued the Coffee chick on the box and glued 2 red enamel hearts around the image. From yellow patterned paper (a present from Clearly besotted) I have die-cut a heart with the Large holiday shapes from Simon says stamp and I glued it on the box. I have made a bow from black ribbon and I glued it on the box.

Together with the box I have made a matching tag, that I have cut from kraft cardstock with the Stitched duo 1 tag die from Pretty pink posh. I have cut the 6 rectangle from yellow patterned paper with the same die and then I glued them on the tag. I have glued the Coffee chick with foamtape on the tag. With black stickerletters I have made a sentiment and I finished it with a red enamel heart.

AHHHHH, how old....??

Hey everyone...

It's Ashlee here and today I have a card to share with you featuring one of the super cute little ghosties from the "Ghosts" stamp set by Gerda Steiner Designs!!

I was really inspired to try and create a bright shining moon background to have the ghost in front of so that was my starting point for this card....

To create the background I used a circle stencil to mask off the moon and inked it up using Make art inks, I added in a little grey to the moon by using some Catherine Pooler Twilight ink. I then gave it a spritz of water to add more effect!!

It was then time to remove the circle stencil and add a mask to the moon so I could ink up the whole of the background....

To do this I used Make art inks and also some from Catherine Pooler.
Once I was happy with the blend I added splatters of white paint and also some gansai tambi in metallic colours for stars!!

It was so much fun to remove the moon mask and see what the result was for the background...

I added a little white highlighting to the moon with a white gel pen and the background was complete!!

The sentiments are also from the Ghosts stamp set, I embossed them on black cardstock using Opaque bright white embossing powder from WOW! Embossing and then fussy cut them...

To finish the card off it needed the ghostie that I stamped with black ink and added some very light shading too with Spectrum noir tri-blend markers. I stuck him down with foam tape for dimension and then the final touch was adding some rhinestones for a bit of bling!!

I hope you enjoy this card, I has a blast creating it...
Happy crafting, hugs Ashlee

Have a Bee-autiful Day

Hello again and welcome, it’s Karen here today. I’ve got a card today that’s fun for summer. I’ve used the “Happy Bee-Day” stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs for this one and kept it quite simple.

I stamped the images with copic friendly ink onto some Neenah Solar Crest cardstock and then coloured them in with copic markers. I wanted the bee to hold the poppy, so I used a baby wipe to carefully remove the ink from the sign he was holding, before stamping the image. After colouring, I fussy cut the images out and also cut the lower part of the bees’ hand so he could hold the poppy

Next, I used a honeycomb stencil and some Distress Oxide ink in Wild Honey to create the background as well as the sentiment strip.  My stencil is an older one, I think from Faber Castell, and had two sizes of honeycomb.  I went over some of the stencilling with Moda Scrap gelly paste, as well as over the bees’ wings. This just added some shine to the card, but any clear paste would likely work. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I just stamped and clear embossed it onto the strip I had created.

To assemble the card, I mounted the sentiment and bee on foam tape. I also put foam tape behind some of the flowers to add dimension. I glued the poppy onto the bee and then arranged everything onto the card front. So it really was a quick and simple card, but I do love how happy that bee is!

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you’re having a great day!

Sneaky Raccoons

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp set named, Sneaky Raccoons. I've been digging into my stash for new sets to play with and this was the one that spoke to me.

I wanted to create a fun scene card so I stamped three images from the Sneaky Raccoons stamp set using Memento Tuxedo black ink. I did a bit of masking because I wanted the raccoon with a sign to stand on top of the tree stump. Because I wanted to ink blend a background, I created masks for all the images. Using distress oxide inks, I used four colors to create the grassy area, then a sunset sky. I figured it was perfect since raccoons usually come out at night and I wanted to have a pretty sunset in the background. I also used water and perfect pearls for some splatter to add texture in the background.

I colored all the images using copic markers, using warm grays. To finish off the card, I used the sentiments to add a sentiment on the sign and then a supporting sentiment to go with it. I'm so happy with how this card turned out. It's so fun!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!
