You're the Best

Hi there,

here is another creation using the adorable Gerda Steiner Designs Cat in bookshelf stamp set and if my son was a cat he would look exactly like this :o)

  • color the images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Cat in bookshelf stamp set with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a damp watercolor brush
  • as a background I used a leftover piece from an earlier watercolor session cut out with one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles
  • stamp the sentiment from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages with Versafine Onyx Black
  • add a swirl of silver thread behind the cute little cat before adhering it to the watercolor panel

Have a wonderful day.

Hugs,

Dachshunds birthday card - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and I am posting a new card today.

This time I made a card with the stampset Dachshunds from Gerda Steiner designs. I stamped a couple of images and coloured them with my Polychromos pencils. I have fussy cut all the images. On the front of white card I masked with painters tape a strip if cardstock, so I could make a background for my images on it. I made the background with the Drifts and hill stencil from My favorite things. I used Tumbled glass and Broken china distress ink for the sky and I used Mowed lawn distress ink for the grass. I adhered all the images with foamtape on the card. I stamped a sentiment from the stampset Tiny type from Clearly besotted stamps under the images.

More Than Pie - Pull Up card

Hi there!

Today I'm sharing this card using the More Than Pie stamp set that I adore! It's a cute set with bears and pies... who doesn't love that?

I had this idea in my head for awhile but when I went to the stamp set, I realized that the bear I wanted to use was actually holding the pie in his hand. I really wanted to make it so he would pop up from a window to peek at the pie with his mischievous face.

This happens a lot when I have an idea for an interactive card in my head so sometimes I just have to mask and manipulate the image a bit. I ended up removing the pie from his hand and created a standalone bear and used the standalone pie image to go on the window sill.

Also, for this particular slider, I don't need a slider die. I just create a channel using foam tape. Check out the tutorial on my Youtube channel.

Hope you enjoyed this card and checked out the video. It's really cute!

Valentine penguins - I miss you!

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a new card. :)

This time I made a card with the stampset Valentine penguins from Gerda Steiner designs. Although this is a valentines stampset, you can use the images really well on a card to let someone know you miss them. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and then I have fussy cut the image. With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies I have die-cut a rectangle from white cardstock. With Charming pink Versafine clair ink and a selfmade heartsstencil I made a heart background on it. I have cut a strip from black cardstock and adhered it on the rectangle. With the Ik mis je thinlits 115666/2120 from Sizzix I have de cut the sentiment (I miss you) from white cardstock and then I adhered it on the black strip. I added the image with foamtape on the card. I decorated the card with black hotfix gems.

Relax

Hi there,

it's Tanja here again. Did you see the adorable new Gerda Steiner Designs Cat in Bookshelf stamp set? This is my first creation using this set:

  • color some of the images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Cat in Bookshelf set with Faber-Castell Polychromos Pencils
  • add woodgrain to the shelf with the help of the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain stamp and Archival Ink Watering Can
  • cut out a stitched panel from Gmund Beer Paper Weizen and add a heart border using one of the Elizabeth Craft Designs Valentine's Edges dies
  • add a strip of pattierend paper from the Carta Bella Spring Market 6x6 paper pad underneath the heart border

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,

Hippo in disguise - Happy birthday - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious.

Today I made a card with the stampset Hippo in disguise from Gerda Steiner designs. This is a really clever designed stampset. You start of with stamping the hippo with the cape and then there are couple of small stamps in the set that you can use to turn your hippo into a superhero or in a dracula. Really awesome! For my card from today I wanted my hippo to be a superhero. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. From a piece of white cardstock I have die-cut a rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 52 from Crealies and then I have die-cut a circle out of the rectangle with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies. I have die-cut a larger rectangle from purple design paper from the Gingham linen rainbow petite prints from Doodlebug with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 44 from Crealies. I adhered the white rectangle on top of the purple design paper with foamtape and then I adhered them both on a white card. I added the image with foamtape on the card. From yellow cardstock I have die-cut a couple of stars with the Lots of stars creative cuts from Mama elephant and I placed those on the card. The sentiment is from the set Happy hoppy from Gerda Steiner designs
