Christmas Window

Hi there,

it's Tanja here and I created this cute little Christmas card with the help of the Gerda Steiner Designs Gopher it stamp set:

  • stamp the the cute little guy from the Gerda Steiner Designs Gopher it set and the Christmas Hat from the Gerda Steiner Designs Snow Angel set with Versafine Vintage Sepia - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out the Lawn Fawn Wonderful Window from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and cut out a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock that fits right behind that window opening
  • stamp the Christmas Tree from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set and mask it
  • add color to the background with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass and create a pattern by applying Distress Oxide Ink Iced Spruce to the Tim Holtz Tiles Mini Layering Stencil
  • stamp a bow and the little cookie plate from the Lawn Fawn Christmas Dreams set
  • color these additional images with Faber-Castell Polychromos as well
  • create a backdrop using patterned paper from the My Mind's Eye Sugar Plum 6x6 paper pad and one of the Tattered Lace Torn Edge Rectangles dies
  • stamp the sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Stamps Many Mini Messages set with Versafine Vintage Sepia onto a sentiment strip cut with one of the My Favorite Things Stitched Sentiment Strips from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock
  • layer all the elements onto a stitched rectangle cut from Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock and adhere it to a cardbase

Here is another picture of this adorable little Christmas critter:

Hello gopher!!

Hi there!!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. Today I would like to share a new card with you!

It's a long time since I wanted to make something with "Gopher it!" clear stamps. This gopher is so much fun and I wanted him to be the main focus of my card.

I die cut a false stitched square on Neenah white paper and I stamped the "hello" sentiment from "Just sentiments" clearstamps set. It´s a bold stamp that looks gorgeous in any colour. I used Lawn Fawn ink this time.

Then, I did partial die cutting for making my window and I started working in the second part of the card.

I die cut again a square and with a pencil I traced a soft line to know where was my window. Then, I stamped the gopher and I coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers. Then, I put some glossy accent on its nose. I masked it and inked some clouds with Memento Blue Sky ink.
I put my two panels together but I wasn't so happy with the result since the window seemed to be so empty. That's why I put this twine following the curve of the die. I made the tiny bow and sticked it with a couple of micro glue dots. I added some enammels matching with the yellow tones.

Finally, I made my card base with a cream cardstock and I used a plaid decorated paper to give some colour to my finished card.

I hope you enjoyed the result and see you soon!!

What's up, Mrs. Hamster?

Hey crafty friends! It's Wiebke here for you today! And I want to share with you a card featuring the absolutely adorable Gopher it! stamp set!

I'm totally into pastel colors lately! Matching to the chubby cheeks of this cutie, I decided to use rose colors for my whole card. I die cut an arch and put a Distress Ink blended rosé background behind. Then I placed the hamster on it and added a pink string. Pretty casual, but that way the soft colors really come to life :)

Have an amazing day!

Non-red Valentine's cards!

Hi there!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. I imagine all of you making Valentine's cards! I love this kind of cards but this year, I decided to try new colours apart from red or pink for my Valentine's!! What about brown??

For my cards, I have used some stamps from different sets:

Let me show you the first one! Since I saw the bulldog I fell in love to it!! It seems to be so sad and angry and I feel like hugging and sending some love!! That's why I decided to make a card with soft colours and a big heart!!

I love small stamps to make backgrounds and you have three of them in this set. They are adorable! With the cute bones I made a heart. Firstly, I draw a soft line with my pencil using a heart die. Then, I stamped the dog and masked it with masking paper because I wanted to hide two of the bones behind the legs. Then I stamped the whole heart and erased the pencil. I stamped the sentiment and coloured the bones and dog with Spectrum Noir markers.  A bit of Glossy Accent on the nose and that's all!!  I hope he feels better now!! ;) But just in case... I stamped a cute sentiment from one of the new stamp sets into the card.

I love the sketch look of the "Ruff day?" sentiment.

Then, I played a little bit with the cute ducks from one of the new stamps sets that you can find on the shop. I think I will use this set a lot in spring and summer but I wanted to give it a try just now.

I love paper piecing and it´s very easy to fussy cut these ducks. I made the sea background with distress inks, water and a piece of acetate. Then I used a wood decorated paper and some brads for my panel. I love the font from the sentiment. It is so nice!

I hope you enjoyed my cards for today and see you soon!!

If you are here, I am sure that you really enjoy with Gerda Steiner Designs' products so it could be a great opportunity to apply for being a Guest Designer on March!
