Keep your Head up!

Hi there,

it's Tanja here and I created this cute card using one of the adorable little dogs from the new Gerda Steiner Designs Dachshunds stamp set:

  • color the sweet dog and the balloon from the new Gerda Steiner Designs Dachshunds set with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a damp watercolor brush
  • add extra shading with Derwent Coloursoft Pencils
  • use one of the Lawn Fawn Mini Picture Frames to cut out a background from white cardstock and a frame from patterned paper from the ModaScrap Wood Effect 6x6 paper pad
  • use Distress Ink Broken China, a Mini Ink Blending Tool and the My Favorite Things Mini Cloud Edges to create a cloud background
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Just Sentiments set with Versafine Vintage Sepia
  • round the top left and the bottom right corner with a 1'' corner rounder

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs,

Hello gopher!!

Hi there!!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. Today I would like to share a new card with you!

It's a long time since I wanted to make something with "Gopher it!" clear stamps. This gopher is so much fun and I wanted him to be the main focus of my card.

I die cut a false stitched square on Neenah white paper and I stamped the "hello" sentiment from "Just sentiments" clearstamps set. It´s a bold stamp that looks gorgeous in any colour. I used Lawn Fawn ink this time.

Then, I did partial die cutting for making my window and I started working in the second part of the card.

I die cut again a square and with a pencil I traced a soft line to know where was my window. Then, I stamped the gopher and I coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers. Then, I put some glossy accent on its nose. I masked it and inked some clouds with Memento Blue Sky ink.
I put my two panels together but I wasn't so happy with the result since the window seemed to be so empty. That's why I put this twine following the curve of the die. I made the tiny bow and sticked it with a couple of micro glue dots. I added some enammels matching with the yellow tones.

Finally, I made my card base with a cream cardstock and I used a plaid decorated paper to give some colour to my finished card.

I hope you enjoyed the result and see you soon!!

Stamped Critter Background

Hey everyone! It's Wiebke here! I'm a little late today, but excited as always to show you my card for this monday! :)

What about creating your own patterned background? It is so easy and fun to create! I stamped all of these cute critters and elements on a piece of watercolor paper (Versafine works very well with water). Then I looked for a few beautiful Distress Inks to color my elements. When you put several layers of water on each other, you'll get that messy watercolor look. I also splashed some waterdroplets on it plus some white ink splashes. A few lighter dots add more interest to your card! :)
Oh and I like to use black sentiments - specially on a colorful background! (there might be a comma  missing between "birthday" and "awesome"... )

I hope you like it! Have a great day!

Just a Little Note

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess from JessCrafts.com and today I'm sharing a clean and simple note card with the Just Sentiments clear stamp set. I am preparing a fun video for the upcoming blog hop and so I don't have a video for this card today. As you can see it's a pretty straightforward design though. Simple mask off a strip with something like Delicate Surface Painter's Tape or Post It Note Tape and then stamp the little notes from the set all over the background. I chose to use the Hero Arts Neon Ombre Ink pads because they are so bright. Then I lifted up the masking and stamped the coordinating sentiment. I can't wait to see all the fabulous inspiration that will be in the upcoming blog hop.

Video: Smooching Technique

Hello everybody! This is Emily Cupely and for today's video I made a baby card using the smooching technique to decorate the background of my scene which goes perfectly with my images, since it gives the look of water. I hope you enjoy the video tutorial below!! :)

Happy bunny-birthday!

Hi there!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. Today, I have made a card with some stamps from different sets: "Just sentiments", "Howl are you, puppy?", "Happy hoppy 4x6 bunny" and  "Brush bunny" stamp sets.

All these stamps can be combined easily and I really had fun playing whit these cutties!

I really love these sets and I wasn't able to choose just one so I decided to play a little bit with my dies and make a window on the main panel of the card. I  used a false stitched square die and I did partial die cutting with my Big Shot. Then I stamped and created the first part of the scene.
The sentiment is so cute and I love how it looks stamped with Versafine ink.
I made some clouds with Memento Blue Sky ink before making the window and I coloured my image with Spectrum Noir Markers. I love the hearts stamp!!!!!! What a cute complement for this set!!!!

But then, when you open the window, you find the second part of the card and sentiment.

The "to youuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!" sentiment was a bit long for the space I had so I masked a part and stamped just some of the "u".

I tried to continue the scene inside, so I made the same clouds. And I added a carrot to the balloon... just for fun!! :))

I  think, you can use this card to put a gift card hidden into the window or making there a shaker. Your creativity is the limit! ;)

I hope you have enjoyed with my card and have a good week! See you soon!

Happy birthday to youuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

Hi there!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. You know that I love shakers and today I am going to show you a very "sweet" one since the fill of the shaker is that... sweet ...

I used colourful sprinkles for this Birthday card. I love trying new fills for my shakers!!

First of all, I die cut the structure of the card in watercolor paper. I wanted to make a couple of windows on my panel before working on the stamps.

Then I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on the acetate with Stazon ink from the "Just sentiments" Clear Stamps set before stamping the second part of my sentiment with Versafine ink on my watercolor false stitched rectangle. And, of course, I used the tiny bone again today. They are just adorable!!

Once I finished that part, I stamped the dog from the "Howl are you? Puppy" clear stamp set and coloured it with Spectrum Noir markers. For the grass, I inked a piece of cardstock with Lawn Fawn "celery stick" ink. I used the same ink for the false stitched rectangle under the second part of the sentiment.

I used a decorated paper for the background from Lawn Fawn and I put a double layer of foam to get a good movement of my card when you shake it!!

I hope you have enjoyed and maybe... you give it a try!!

See you soon!!

Colorful Birthday Cards

Hey everyone! It's Wiebke here and I have two cards for you today!
I wanted to create a colorful birthday card with the two new stamp sets Happy Hoppy and Just Sentiments. But when I tried to combine them, I realized that the Just Sentiments set has so many great bold sentiments that it would be much more nice to them for a single card. Therefore I have two pretty colorful birthday cards today :)

For my bunny card, I stamped out and colored the bunny plus a few balloons. I cut out a small hill mask and used a green and a soft blue Distress Ink color to create a grass hill with a soft touch of a sky. Just mask off one side and sponge with the color over it to get that look, afterwards mask off the other side and do the same with the other color ;) Then I stamped two different parts of sentiment stamps on white cardstock, cut them out and placed them on my card. I think different fonts always add much more interest to a card! Then I took a black fineliner to draw the string of the balloons to the hand of the bunny.

This card was quite an easy one! I saw a very similar card on Pinterest the other day and just HAD to create something in that direction. I just stamped the sentiment with five different Distress Ink colors on a piece watercolor cardstock. But before you stamp them on it, you need to spray a bit of water on the inked stamp. You'll get a more even look and it looks a bit more.. "messy" and "blurred". Always start stamping in the middle of your card (the red one here) - that way, you'll get a perfectly centered image!

I hope you're a bit inspired now! :) Have a great day!

Non-red Valentine's cards!

Hi there!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time. I imagine all of you making Valentine's cards! I love this kind of cards but this year, I decided to try new colours apart from red or pink for my Valentine's!! What about brown??

For my cards, I have used some stamps from different sets:

Let me show you the first one! Since I saw the bulldog I fell in love to it!! It seems to be so sad and angry and I feel like hugging and sending some love!! That's why I decided to make a card with soft colours and a big heart!!

I love small stamps to make backgrounds and you have three of them in this set. They are adorable! With the cute bones I made a heart. Firstly, I draw a soft line with my pencil using a heart die. Then, I stamped the dog and masked it with masking paper because I wanted to hide two of the bones behind the legs. Then I stamped the whole heart and erased the pencil. I stamped the sentiment and coloured the bones and dog with Spectrum Noir markers.  A bit of Glossy Accent on the nose and that's all!!  I hope he feels better now!! ;) But just in case... I stamped a cute sentiment from one of the new stamp sets into the card.

I love the sketch look of the "Ruff day?" sentiment.

Then, I played a little bit with the cute ducks from one of the new stamps sets that you can find on the shop. I think I will use this set a lot in spring and summer but I wanted to give it a try just now.

I love paper piecing and it´s very easy to fussy cut these ducks. I made the sea background with distress inks, water and a piece of acetate. Then I used a wood decorated paper and some brads for my panel. I love the font from the sentiment. It is so nice!

I hope you enjoyed my cards for today and see you soon!!

If you are here, I am sure that you really enjoy with Gerda Steiner Designs' products so it could be a great opportunity to apply for being a Guest Designer on March!
