Be my Valentine

Hi there,

it's Tanja here and I would like to show you another Valentine's Day project created using the Gerda Steiner Designs Valentine Bear Digital Stamp:

  • color the Gerda Steiner Designs Valentine Bear with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen and extra sparkle with Stickles Glitter Glue Crystal
  • cut out a heart shape around the bear
  • create a background on a piece of Neenah Desert Storm kraft cardstock using a sentiment and the heart from the Gerda Steiner Designs More than Chocolate set and Versafine Imperial Purple
  • add a strip of purple glitter cardstock to the left and right of the panel before adhering it to a cardbase

I hope you got inspired.

Hugs,

More Than Chocolate

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today to share a card I created using
the More Than Chocolate stamp set from the shop.

With Valentine's day coming up, this is a perfect set for a simple card.
It is a smaller set but you can create so many different ideas for this card by changing up the background.
When I first got this set, I knew that I wanted to create a chocolate background to mimic the piece the
piggie was already munching on but I'd do it by hand, which turned out to be rather easy.

I just used a ruler for the pieces of chocolate and I mimicked the wrapper in the stamp image just on a larger scale.
The coloring gave it the dimension it needed to look like pieces of chocolate.

For the rest of wrapper, I didn't want to color in red because the wrapper for the pig's candy would get lost.
I chose to use a neutral color so it would stand out. Once I finished the coloring, I trimmed the A2 card panel down
by a quarter of an inch and matted it on a piece of red cardstock.
I stamped the sentiment "I Love You". I loved both sentiments, so I also stamped the stamp in a light grey on the
inside of the card along with the "More Than Chocolate" sentiment in black so it would pop.
I normally don't decorate the interior but when I do, I keep it really simple and leave space for a person to write
a cute note.

I love how this card turned out and I think that even if you weren't using it for Valentine's day, you can use it for
any other occasion as well. This little piggie is adorable so I hope you enjoyed the card.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back soon!

{heart} u

Hi there! It's Cathy here sharing a super simple card today with this cute little pig from the More Than Chocolate stamp set. With Valentine's Day just a few days away, there's still time to make a quick and easy card or two!

To start, cut a panel for the card front from white cardstock and ink it up using your ink of choice. For this one, I used Distress Inks in Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar.

Stamp the sentiment from this set at the bottom. I stamped mine in Versamark and heat embossed with a dark brown embossing powder.

Die-cut a heart from white cardstock and ink it using your choice of medium. For mine, I airbrushed it with Copics (R85, R83, R81).

Die-cut the letter u from light pink cardstock or stamp the letter u and fussy cut around it. Consider using a Thicker if you have some of those.

Color this adorable piggy with Copics and fussy cut around him. After adhering him, add a few shadows underneath with neutral gray Copics.

Super easy! Hope you enjoyed and see you again soon!

More then Chocolate!

Hi, crafty friends! Its Rebekah here with you this evening bringing you this fun Valentine's Day card using the 'More then Chocolate ' stamp set! How adorable is this little piggie. I can totally identify!

This is pretty close to a one layer card! They can be so hard for me sometimes with this larger image made it easy!

Here is how I made this card -
1. Create a top folding card base. My base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. On the front for the base, cover the center with the heart stamp. I created a loose pattern. I used a few different colors of inks starting at the bottom with the darker colors and worked to the top using lighter colored inks.
2. On a scrap of Copic safe paper I stamped the little piggie and colored him in with copic markers. Then I fussy cut him out and added foam tape behind him for a little dimension.
3. Then I stamped the sentiment on pink cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Its as easy as that! Super fun, cute and easy to make!
