Wrapped Up Easter Kitten
Hello and welcome back, it’s Karen here again. I’ve got an Easter card today made with the sweet little Easter Kitten stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs. This little kitten has gotten herself in a little trouble as she has been wrapped up into the Easter basket she was hiding in! Honestly, as I’m typing this up, I’m thinking “What was I thinking when I made this card!”.
I coloured my images with Copic markers (I’m sorry, but I forgot to write down which ones I used). I fussy cut them out and used my craft knife to cut out the area just under the handle of the basket. Then I wrapped some ribbon around the handle and made a little bow. I popped the additional eggs up on foam tape and attached them to the front of the basket. Here’s where it gets a little weird - I cut a piece of cello wrap and wrapped up my image and tied it off with another piece of ribbon. It’s a bit hard to see in the photo, but in real life, it does look like the kitten is in a gift bag.
For the background, I dug into my stash of ribbons to make a slightly woven background. I applied some double sided tape to the back of the card front at the top and bottom of the card. Starting at the top, I adhered strips of ribbon, trying to space them out evenly. Then I wove three strips of ribbon through the vertical strips and adhered them to the back of the card with some more double sided tape. Finally, I adhered the vertical strips to the bottom where I’d already placed the tape. Then I used glue to attach the card front to the card base.
I then stamped the sentiment, from the same stamp set, in Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide ink and clear heat embossed it. I used a rounded rectangle die to cut it out and then attached it to the front with double sided tape. Finally, I used double sided tape to adhere my gift wrapped kitten onto the ribbon background. I just love the surprised look on that kitten’s face!
Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you’re having a great day!

Hoppiness Bunnies
Hi and welcome, it’s Karen here today. It’s starting to feel like an early spring here in my part of Canada and since it’s almost Easter, I couldn’t resist making a card with cute bunnies and Easter eggs. And of course, it needed to have a little surprise factor so I’ve made it a Z fold card.
I started with a piece of cardstock that measured 4 1/4 x 11” long. I created a mask of hills which I first drew on some computer paper and then traced onto contact paper for masking. I made it so when the card is closed, it looks like one hill in the background. After masking off the sky, I ink blended the hills with Distress Oxide inks in Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness. Then I masked off the hills and used a stencil to create a cloudy sky with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Day Colour Cloud ink. After the ink was dry, I creased this background at 2 3/4” and 5 1/2”. The card folds over like a regular card at the 5 1/2” mark (a valley fold), but then folds back on itself at the 2 3/4” mark (a mountain fold) so the ink blended side is to the front.
Next, I die cut grass from green cardstock (three layers for each half of the card). On the left side, if you crease the grass layers at the 2 3/4” mark, it will help prevent the paper from tearing when the card is folded. I diecut the tree using coloured cardstock, with a die from MFT Stamps.
I used Copic markers to colour all the images from the “Hoppiness” stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs but couldn’t fit one of the bunnies on in the end. I also stamped and coloured two fence sections and two butterflies.
The eggs were made from some scrap pieces of Nuvo Shimmer Powder painted cardstock, and I added some Cosmic Shimmer Ultra Sparkle Paste in Gold and Frosty to a few of them before cutting them out. I created my own egg shaped templates for the eggs.
To assemble the card, I placed a small piece of masking tape where the left front of the card folded over to on the right side. The hidden area of the card is to the left of this mark and over to the first fold on the left. Next, I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment with clear embossing powder on the right side so it would be visible when the card is closed. To begin assembling, I first glued the tree on the left side. Next, I glued the fence sections on either side of the card. Then I started layering the grass rows, and added in eggs and bunnies until I was satisfied with the arrangement. I kept all the eggs and bunnies in the hidden area, with the exception of the one bunny on the left front. I used glue to attach all the images as I didn’t want any excess bulk from foam tape. The bunny on the left front is the only one I attached with foam tape.
Finally, in order to have somewhere to write a message, I attached another A2 card base to the back of the card. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a happy, creative day!

With a black fineliner I have doodled a line around the edges of the egg. I have die-cut a grass border from green patterned paper from the same paperpad with the Grassy fields die-namics from My favorite things. I have made a background on a white card with Peacock feathers Distress ink. I have added dots on the background with the Snowflakes stencil (PS8012) from Marianne design. I have cut a couple of clouds from white cardstock with the Cute cloud outlines die-namics from My favorite things and I glued those on the background. I have glued the bunny behind the egg and then I placed it on my card together with the grass border. I have stamped a sentiment from the stampset Easter cuties from CC. Designs on the grass border.
I also made a little box . I found a nice tutorial on youtube and made my own version. have pust some chocolate eggs inside my box. On the box I used the sweet bunny from the stampset Peeking easter friends from Gerda Steiner designs again. I have coloured the bunny with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen.
The innerbox is made from white cardstock and for the outer box I used yellow patterned paper from an envelope from Action. I have stamped a sentiment from the stampset So much to say (retired) from Clearly besotted on white cardstock and then I have die-cut the sentiment with the Strips with dots (CLmix 13) from Crealies. Bunny and egg - Happy easter - Larissa
Goodmorning, today it is my turn again to post a card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This week I have made a slimline easter card with the digital stamp Bunny and egg from Gerda Steiner designs. I have printed the image 11 times. I have mirrored a part of the images, so they look a bit different when I glue them on the card. I have coloured all the images with my Polychromos pencils and then I have fussy cut them all.
I have made a slimline card from white cardstock with the help of the die set Snijmallen DL Slimline kaart 4 Chocolade alfabet (CDSN-0082) from Carlijn design. On the back layer I have made a cloudy background with the Slimline Sunburst A-4 stencil (PS8080) from Marianne design and Peacock feathers Distress ink. I used the same die from the Snijmallen DL Slimline kaart 4 Chocolade alfabet (CDSN-0082) from Carlijn design to cut the grass layers. The top of the grass was cut with a die from the Snijmallen Slimline randen 3 Gras & wolken (CDSN-0091) from Carlijn Design. I have coloured the grass with Twisted citron and Mowed lawn Distress ink. I have added paint splatters with Rustic wilderness Distress ink and a White posca pen. I have glued the grass on the card and I used foamtape for the upper layer. Then I glued all the bunnies on the card with foamtape. I have cut the sentiment from white cardstock with the Tiny odd alphabet (D190601) from Gummiapan and glued it on the eggs.

Spinning Bunnies
How to make this spinner card...
1. I started by printing out the adorable “Bunny with Carrot” digital stamp. I took the image into my editing software, sized it to my desired size and then took that image, duplicated it and flipped it to create a mirror image. I colored them both up using Copic Markers.
2. I made a side folding card base, 5.5” x 8.5”, scored at 4.25” and folded it.
3. I created a front panel with die cut patterned papers and stitching.
4. I temporarily adhered my front panel to my OPEN card base and took a circle die on top of the panel & the base together and sent it through my die cutting machine. The die only cut the front panel and the front of the card base.
5. I then fussy cut out my bunnies and taped a doubled up piece of white thread on the back of one bunny. Then I adhered the other bunny on the back of the threaded bunny to created a string and bunny sandwich.
6. Then I stretched the bunny and string across the die cut hole on the card base and taped the string multiple times down to the card base to secure it tightly.
7. Then I adhered the patterned paper card front over top of the taped bunny string and card base. The string is now sandwiched between the card base and patterned paper panel.
To “load up the string”, you just have to twist the string, hold the bunny still and then close the card. The tension built up in the string will cause the bunny to spin once the recipient opens the card!
I hope you get a chance to make a fun spinner card too!

Easter bunnies on a Memory dex card - Larissa
Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today today I am posting a new creation on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I made a card for my Memory dex.
Today I used a freebie digital stamp. This is the Easter bunnies digital stamp from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils and the black glaze pen and then I have fussy cut the image. I love this advantage of digital stamps, you are able to print the image in the perfect size so it can even fit on a tiny Memory dex card. I only had to use a black fineliner to add some more grass border.
I have die-cut my Memory dex card with the Stencils SL120 from Studio light. I have die-cut the second layer from purple design paper from the Classic gingham paperpad from Sunny studio. I have die-cut the upper layer from white cardstock and then I have coloured it with Tumbled glass, Broken china en Faded jeans distress ink. I have die-cut a little sun and a couple of clouds from white cardstock with the Craftables CR1459 from Marianne design. I coloured the sun with Wild honey and Spiced marmelade distress ink and then I glued them all on the sky. I have glued the image with foamtape on the Memory dex card.
