Happy Birthday Shark

Hi there,

it's Tanja here and I created this underwater Birthday Card using the Gerda Steiner Designs Big Bite stamp set:

  • stamp the shark and the underwater cake from the Gerda Steiner Designs Big Bite set with Lawn Fawn Jet Black
  • cut out some underwater plants and stones with the help of the My Favorite Things Under the Sea die set
  • color the images and elements with Spectrum Noir Triblend Markers and add extra shading with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils
  • cut out a round cardbase and add color to the background with Distress Ink Salty Ocean
  • cut out a sandy ground and color it with Distress Ink Tea Dye and add some splatters with watered-down Distress Ink Ground Espresso and white acrylic paint
  • stamp the sentiment fro the Clearly Besotted Stamps Tiny Type set with Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-emboss it with WOW! Bright White Super Fine embossing powder

I hope you got inspired.

You Blow My Mind!

Hi everyone! Cathy here sharing another card using the super cute Big Bite stamp set!

I just love this pufferfish, so he got his own card this time.

I started by die-cutting a panel of watercolor cardstock and I painted a splashy background with Dr. Ph Martin's liquid radiant watercolors in Turquoise Blue, Norway Blue and Calypso Green.

I then painted another piece of watercolor cardstock with Chartreuse and die-cut it using a "Loopy Rings" die from Memory Box.

I adhered the background panel to my card base and added the die-cuts.

I colored the images from this set with Copics and fussy cut them out. There are also coordinating dies to these stamps available HERE.

To finish it off, I heat embossed the sentiment from this set on black cardstock using detail white embossing powder, die-cut the sentiment and adhered it and the stamped images to the card front.

Pretty easy and I really love how he steals the show on this!

Hope everyone's enjoying a relaxing Summer and having lots of crafty time!

See you again soon!

Take a Big Bite!

Happy Friday, everyone! It's Cathy here sharing a card today using a new stamp set coming soon to the Gerda Steiner Designs shop. This one is called "Big Bite" and it's another fantastic ocean themed set!

I started by masking off an area at the bottom for the sand and inked the water using Distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Peacock Feathers. I then inked the sand area with Antique Linen.

I used Copics (E31,E34,E50) to add some texture to the sand.

I colored all of the images with Copics and fussy cut them out. The seaweed stamp is from the Oh, Manatee stamp set, but all of the others are included in this new set.

There's so much to love about these stamps! Look at that adorable pufferfish?!

Hope you have a great crafty weekend and be on the lookout for this new set soon!

Blown Away!

Hi, Crafty friends! Its Rebekah with you today sharing a card made using a new stamp set from Gerda Steiner! I am only sharing one of the images from the new Big Bite...consider this a peek! But trust me, the other images and just a cute and

This set,  like the last few, totally have my heart! I think the images are so cute and I love the font for the sentiments!

I started off by creating by background by using a stencil which reminded me of water. I played it on my background and brushed on a light covering of Distress inks. I then used a frame die from my stash and cut out a frame from blot and from white cardstock.  On the blue, I added a little more inking using the same stencil.

I then colored this adorable little puffer fish with my Copic markers and fussy cut him out. It is a more complicated image but it only too me a minute or two! I then attached a mini action wobble to the back of my puffer fish and the adhered home inside the frame. I then stamped my sentiment in a dark blue ink.

Super easy and super fun and can be used for either a male or female and for so many occasions.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the Big Bite stamp set in the Gerda Steiner shop! This is one you will use a ton!
