Let's have coffee - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today it is my turn to post a card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a card with the Warm fuzzies clear stamp from Gerda Steiner designs. This image is also available as a digital stamp: Warm fuzzies digital stamp. I have stamped the image with Versafine clair nocturne ink on watercolour paper and then I embossed the image with clear embossingpowder. Then I coloured the image with Distress inks and then I have fussy cut the image.

I decided to make a "mini slimline" card again from white cardstock. On my card I have glued blue and white patterned paper from the Spots & brights paperpad (retired) from Sugarpea designs and then I cut a hole in it with a die from the set Snijmallen DL "Slimline kaart 2" from Carlijn design. After I glued the patterned paper on my card I glued the image with foamtape on the card. On a strip of white cardstock I have stamped a sentiment from the set Coffeesaurus clear stamp from Gerda Steiner designs with Versafine clair nocturne ink and then I embossed the sentiment with clear embossingpowder. I have coloured the strip with Picked raspberry Distress ink and glued it with foamtape on the card. I have also diie-cut a couple of flowers from white cardstock after I first coloured it with the pink ink. I added a coupleof leaves from green cardstock and then I glued the flowers with foamtape on the card. I have decorated the flowers with white pearls.

I heat embossed the coffee-loving T-Rex and used the mirror stamping technique to create a reflection in the water. He's inviting a friend to join him for coffee but he's also enjoying coffee with his reflection. ;)

I used distress inks to watercolour the panel and added gold crystals to symbolize prehistoric rocks on the shore.

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a new card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs and this time I made a card with the stampset Coffeesaurus from Gerda Steiner designs.

I stamped the dinosaur and then I coloured him with my Polychromos pencils. After I coloured the image I have fussy cut it. With masking paper and Picked raspberry, Mustard seed and Peacock feathers distress ink I coloured a circle on the front of a white card. I have die-cut a circle frame from white cardstock with the Single stitch line circle frames from My favorite things and then I coloured it with Picked raspberry distress ink. I adhered the frame with foamtape on the card. I used Picked raspberry ink to colour the edges of the card and then I doodled some lines with a black pen. With black paint from the Kuretake gansai tambi set I made a couple of paint splatters on the front of the card. Then I decorated the card with a couple of black hotfix gems.

Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi there,

Gerda Steiner Designs is joining the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and the design team came up with some wonderful creations to inspire you.

  • stamp the adorable little reindeer from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends set and three coffee cups from the Gerda Steiner Designs You're Koalafied set with Memento Tuxedo Black - use the Masking Technique
  • color the image with Delta, Touch Twin Brush and Copic Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • cut out a stitched panel from Bristol Smooth cardstock and create a plaid background using the My Favorite Things Plaid Background Builder, Altenew Crisp Ink (Frayed Leaf, Buttercream), the Darkroom Door Stitched Borders, Versamark and WOW! Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
  • create a custom-sentiment with stamps from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends and Gerda Steiner Designs You're Koalafied set, Versamark and WOW! Bright White Super Fine and WOW! Gold Rich Super Fine embossing powder
  • mount the panel onto a piece of dark green cardstock before adhering it to a cardbase

I made a card with the stamp set Smells like Christmas from Gerda Steiner Designs
I have colored the images with my Polychromos pencils and for the background I have used Derwent aquatone pencils
I used a white gel pen to draw dots on the cup. I have fussy cut the images.
From green, red and white cardstock I have die-cut a couple of circles with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 41, 49 and 53 from Crealies
The sentiments are from the stamp set Beary Happy Holidays from Lawn fawn. I stamped those on white cardstock and after I cut them I adhered them on green cardstock.
The cardshape is called a cornercard. I saw the instructions on YouTube. It was really fun and easy to make, but it is not the easiest card to take a decent picture of.
With a white gel pen I added faux stitching on the red panels. The snowflakes are from the stampset Beary Happy Holidays from Lawn fawn. I stamped them with Versamark ink and then I embossed them with white embossing powder.
You can fold the card flat and send it in a normal envelope.

When I was thinking about the coffee-lovers theme, I looked at my stamps and found this mug from the Gerda Steiner Designs Smell like Christmas stamp set. I thought it would be just perfect, if one were in a very cold surrounding and would be offered a steaming hot beverage. This is how I came to pair the cup with the cute penguin from last year's December/January Digital Stamp Bundle ;o) I created the background scene free hand following a video tutorial by Sandy Allnock and stamped the sentiment right on the horizon line.

The first card was colored using Copic markers, the sentiment was created on my computer. I fussy cut the dinosaur and popped him onto foam tape for dimension.

The second card was also colored with Copic markers. I added the spots on his scarf with a white gel pen and finally I used glossy accents to raise the heart on his coffee cup... what a cutie!

Thanks for stopping by.

Guest Designer - Two Cards & Two Videos by Therese Calvird!

Hi there,
I'm Therese from www.lostinpaper.com  and I am so excited to share two cards and two videos today.  My first design features a sweet stamp set called Coffeesaurus and can you tell just how happy he is to be part of the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!   Head on over to find out how you can WIN!
I filmed as I created so you could watch the process.

I kept the design fun and simple and used a sentiment from Hedgehog with Sign so that I could use this as an all occasion card, who knows when you are going to need a coffee drinking dinosaur, right?

For my second design I wanted to make it look like this little Pool Piggie was in a swimming pool and I thought it would be fun to make an easy Circle Slider card.

The sentiment for this set came from the Go Wild stamp set

and I have a video here showing you how this came together.

Hope you have enjoyed both of my cards and videos today!  Have a great and crafty day, Hugs,

Hello everyone, today my name is Larissa from the blog Car-d-elicious and I am from the Netherlands. Today I am guestdesigning at Gerda Steiner designs. I have made 2 cards with a cute coffee drinking dinosaur.

On the first card I have coloured the Coffeesaurus from Gerda Steiner designs with my Polychromos pencils and then I fussy cut the image. On a white card I adhered a piece of green star design paper from the Lucky prints paper pack from My favorite things. I have cut a rectangle from black cardstock and stamped sentiments from the stampset on it with Versamark ink. Then I embossed the sentiments with white embossingpowder. I have cut a label from white cardstock with the Sentiment label strip die-namics from My favorite things and after I adhered the label on the card I adhered the dinosaur on the card. I have decorated the label with black hotfix stars.
