Have a Beary INTERACTIVE Christmas!

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG) here to share a fun interactive card using the newly released "Beary Merry Christmas" stamp set  from Gerda Steiner Designs!

Isn't this Christmas bear set adorable?!?!

The front image with his sweater is a FABULOUS image to have for his own card. BUT.... I always like to spice it up a little! I just got the new interactive die from Lawn Fawn and thought I would see... YES! this fun wreath image fits right inside!

I curved the sentiment from this set on my misti and stamped it for the curved sentiment strip the die set comes with.

Ok so now for the fun assembly! I skipped the Swivel Surprise mechanism assembly as I just followed the video from Lawn Fawn. Here's a video of the rest of the process!

Hope you feel inspired to make this fun interactive!

See you again soon!

Shake your way into a NEW RELEASE SNEAK PEEK!

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG) here to share a SNEAK PEEK of another fun holiday set coming out next month!

This card uses adorable critters from the new "Woodland Holiday Friends" (and cutie from the other new "Caroling Woodland Animals" set as well).

I love shaker cards for Christmas! Its like shaking a present haha!

I cut the bunny from the large tree combined focal image so I had 3 critters from this "Woodland Holiday Friends" set, then grabbed the super cute mouse from the "Caroling Woodland Animals". I colored these cuties with my OLO Markers.

The only thing that's left is to emboss the fun "Holiday Hugs" sentiment and then assemble! I had some cute mini sequins and microbeads I was saving for a fun Christmas shaker. The frame is from Lawn Fawn, great for shakers with a nice focal sentiment, and so is the background paper.

Here's a video of the rest of the process!

Keep an eye out for the release!

See you again soon!

Frogtastic Fireflies Card!

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG) here to share a fun light up card with Gerda Steiner Designs products!

Today I have another fun collaboration with Pear Blossom Press products to share. I needed a summer swap for a card swap group I am in and the GSD Frogs stamp set gave me a fun idea for a bayou sunset with fireflies.

For the background, I used Villainous Potion, Uncharted Mariner, and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink. For the fun look behind the fireflies I spritzed water and then splattered with gold Kuretake watercolor.

Quick ink blending video here:

Did you realize yet that the GSD Frogs stamp set actually only has FLIES? not FIREFLIES? :-)
It's really easy to stretch your stamps by using a fineliner/multiliner pen to add extra features to a stamp. I just needed to add a little "bulb" bum to the flies and viola! FIREFLIES!

Last but not least.... COLORING! I used my OLO Markers to color these cuties. Here's a fun coloring video I made, including the frog on his lily pad.

For more details on how to light up this card, head on over to my blog today for the companion post! I also have a full video linked there today if you want to see how to make this card in its entirety.

Here's the finished project!

Have a Super-potamus Day!

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG), Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs!

Today I have another fun collaboration with Pear Blossom Press products to share. I had this crazy idea that this super hippo (one of the several mix and matches you can make with this cute Hippo in Disguise set) could be standing on a wall, overlooking his city ( from Skyline set)

For this design I used my OLO Markers to color a few Hippos. I always worry I'll mess up :-D but watch for the IG and Facebook posts coming soon to show what I did with these extras!). Which super hero hippo coloring is your favorite?

Now...... what to do... what to do! haha! I played with a couple layered Skyline options and even had the brick wall stamp from the Skyline set as well.  Once I figured out where my Hippo signal spotlight should go, I used a 1" circle punch and colored some vellum with yellow marker. I used a small "H" die cut to create the signal in the sky.

I ink blended a cloud stencil with white Distress Ink black paper to create a cloudy night scene for the Hippo signal. To get the beam, I masked off a triangle and inked on Mustard Seed Distress Oxide.

I decided to trim off the back layer of Skyline so there is a tall building in the right to have the spotlight coming from. I colored them all with the same OLO colors. I decided to have the brick wall replaced with a sentiment strip across the bottom of the card.

Here's the finished project!

Did we forget already that this card LIGHTS UP? haha

I Heart U!

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG), Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs!

Today I have another fun collaboration with Pear Blossom Press products to share. It's almost Valentine's Day so what better than to use the adorable Penguin with Heart stamp!

For this design I used my OLO Markers to color a couple Penguins (I always worry I'll mess up :-D).
I ink blended a Lawn Fawn heart stencil with Distress Oxides (Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Kitsch Flamingo, Picked Raspberry) on Kraft and cut it out with a Lawn Fawn heart die.

I added an "I" and "U" from Mama Elephant's alphas and cut out a panel of white and gold decorative paper to mount on a purple card base.

Here's the finished project!

SNEAK PEEK! Big Birthday Hugs with the Big Guy

Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG), Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs!

Today I have the honor of giving you all a sneak peek of the new set releasing this Thursday, "Big Guy"!

For this design I used my OLO Markers to color a couple of these adorable mammoths. I only used one on this card so stay tuned in the GSD Facebook Group for a second card!

For the card design I used nested circle dies to make a white circle frame and backed it with a piece of vellum. I then used some mountain dies to layer and make a cute framed scene. He's in the ice age so I thought ice capped mountains would be perfect!

I ink blended the edges of stitched die cut for a background and then stamped the sentiment in the matching Salvaged Patina. I didn't have a sentiment die the right size so I cut strips and used my hexagon punch to add the flags.

I added "BIG" using an alpha set in Grey and offeset with Black.

Here's the finished project!
