Guest Design - Decorate with Reindeer friends with Fabiola
Hello everyone ! It's Fabiola here, and I'd like to introduce you to my first project for Gerda Steiner Blog that I created with Gerda Steiner Design Reindeer and a tree stamp set. It is a purely Christmas set with reindeer in different positions that can help in the assembly of different compositions and you can find it on the site Gerda Steiner Design .
Follow me on my fb page Shabby Lab o su Instagram for coloring tutorials.
I used only the reindeer and the tree with decorations for this frame card.
For the stamping I used the Memento black while for the coloring the Spectrum Noir markers.
After having colored the various stamps giving a whole left side shadow effect I created both the markers and the gel pen Sakura white the right side light points.
Then I always stamped with the Memento black the sentiment coupled to the set and cut by hand as all the stamps, without leaving an offset.
I used a digital pattern card from Polkadoodles to match the green of the tree. And the same I used it to create the upper and back banners where I applied the tree decorations that recall the theme of the set and the card.
I created the frame with the die frame of Modascrap and to complete it I added golden sequins and Nuvo drops black. Also some sketch of black Sakura gel pen here and there.
I hope you enjoyed my idea of Christmas decoration! Thanks for stopping! See you next time!

Guest Designer Pri - Piggies On The Beach
Hello...Hope you're having a great day....Pri here as a guest designer today with two summer cards that I have made using the Pool Piggies stamp set...if you follow Gerda Steiner Designs on social media then you must have seen a lot of cute summery cards 'floating around' recently...(pun intended)..
For me summers means time to head to the beach as much as possible so the cards I'm sharing today have a beach theme...and looking through my DSP stash,I found a paper I had never used before and was perfect for the background of this card...
I die cut three strips of watercolor cardstock using wave border dies and then sponged in three different shades of Distress inks on them...I have used salty ocean, tumbled glass and broken china shades here...I also splattered a bit of water on these strips for a bit of interest..
I layered and adhered these waves to the printed DSP and used a pierced rectangle die to create a neat top layer...I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and heat embossed it with white embossing powder...also I added a die cut sun and cloud to my card
On a separate piece of cardstock,I stamped the two cute piggie friends and coloured then before cutting them out and placing them between the waves...finally,I adhered the top layer to a kraft cardstock card base and added a few tiny blue sequins to embellish my card...
Now my second card is a simple and quick one...I used a top folded white card base for this one and a white top layer as well...I have lightly sponged in some Distress inks on this top layer to create the background..I have used tumbled glass and twisted citron shades..
I cut a strip of watercolour cardstock and added a couple of blue shades from my Gansai Tambi watercolors and while wet,I covered it with cling wrap and set it aside to dry...I learnt this technique from a recent post by Jennifer McGuire...once dry,I die cut this panel using a wave border die and adhered it to the top layer...I then used a stitched rectangle die to cut off the excess from the top layer...
I die cut the word happy from a shimmery orange cardstock and stamped the word happy on a strip of the same paper and placed them on the card...I added the piggies on the card and added a few Nuvo drops to embellish my card..
Thank you for stopping by today...you can go to the Gerda Steiner Designs online shop if you'd like to purchase this stamp set and/or matching dies...and many more...!!
Cheers,
Pri

I love crafting with paper...and love to create and learn something or the other whenever I can get a little bit of time..If I'm not making something, then I'm prepping things to make something later on...
I visit quite a few blogs and try things out that other bloggers have shared a tutorial for...and when I create and share those things with you I will always share the link/tutorial/video so that the right person gets credit for it and also so you can try those things yourself if you like without having to waste time searching for the right link....
In the end it comes down to the fact that I'm enjoying every minute of creating nice things with paper...and hopefully I can keep going...
Thanks for stopping by to take a look at my creations...Here's the link for my blog https://meandmydailypapercraft.blogspot.com.au/
