Monkey hanging in there - Larissa

Goodmorning, today it is my turn again to post a card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a mini card with the digital stamp Monkey hanging in there from Gerda Steiner designs. I had found a couple of mini envelopes and it is perfect for a mini card with the size of 6,5 x 9,5 cm and that is why I made a card in that size.

I have coloured the digital stamp Monkey hanging in there from Gerda Steiner designs with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. Then I have fussy cut the image. I have made a card from white cardstock and then I glued red patterned paper from the Sleek stripes paperpack from Sunny studio. On some white cardstock I have started with printing the sentiment. With the Micro cloud edges stencil from My favorite things and Tumbled glass distress ink I have made a background for the image. With a black fineliner I have doodled lines around the edges of the white cardstock. I have glued the white cardstock on my mini card and then I glued the image on the card. I have die-cut  a heart with the Confetti - creative cuts from Mama elephant from the red patterned paper and then I glued it on the card.

Monkey hanging in there - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a new card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a card with the digital stamp Monkey hanging in there from Gerda Steiner designs. I have coloured the image with my Polychromos pencils, the black glaze pen and a white gelpen. I have fussy cut the image.

With the Crea-nest-lies XXL 92 from Crealies I have die-cut a circle from green patterned paper from the Polka-dot parade paper pad from Sunny studio and I glued it on a white card. I have used the Crea-nest-lies XXl 41 from Crealies and Crea-nest-lies XXL 49 from Crealies to cut a circle frame from white cs and then I glued it with foamtape on a white card. I have glued the monkey inside the circle with foamtape. I have made the sentiment with the Lowercase alphabet (115633/0164) from Craft emotions from white cardstock. I have decorated the card with some 4mm Sparkling clear sequins from Pretty pink posh.

Monkey, hanging in there

Hi Everyone, Melissa here.

For today's inspiration I have made a single layer card using the 'Monkey, hanging in there!' Digital image.

The image has been printed onto Copic X-Press Blending Card and coloured with Copic Markers.

The background has been coloured using Distress Oxide Inks (Salty Ocean & Blueprint Sketch).

The grass has been die cut twice and coloured with Copic Markers.  These have been layered on top of each other and adhered to the card.

The sentiment has been stamped using black ink.

Colour chipboard butterflies with Copic Markers and adhere to card.  I also coloured the butterflies with Nuvo Shimmer Pen to give them a little sparkle.

I hope you have a great day

Video: 3-D Critter Scene

Howdy all!  Happy Thursday!  It’s Allison Cope here today to share a very simple tutorial on how to make your little critters (or any other images) POP!

The key ingredient to this technique today is Olba glue. It’s a thick, clear glue with lots of body.  It allows you create a 3-D backer for your fussy cut images to pop up.

Today my card features the adorable “Monkey Hanging in There” and the “Bunny with Glasses” digital stamp sets.

So come and join me at my desk and we’ll go get creative with digital stamps and Copic Markers!

Here’s a look at our card once again…

And here is a close up of our bunny (photos don’t do this justice!)

And here is a closer look at the monkey as well…

Thanks for joining me today!  I hope you too get to try adding some more dimension to your card creations sometime soon.
