Cozy Scene with On the Table

Hello!  It's Andrea back with my last post as guest designer.  I have truly enjoyed this experience and hope I've inspired you even a tad.

I had so much fun creating this cozy kitchen scene!  I combined images from On the Table with one of the pandas from Lovely Pandas.  I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.

To create my wallpaper, I inked up a stencil with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink.  Using a square die, I die-cut two windows from the panel.  I added Salty Ocean to the card front before adhering my background panel.  I layered two square dies to create window frames from white cardstock and tucked in that cute panda.

With a curved die, I die-cut the table from patterned paper.  After inking the edge, I popped up the table onto my card with foam tape.  I adhered the rest of my images with dimensional adhesive and added highlights with a white gel pen.  I toyed with putting a sentiment on the front, but thought it detracted from my scene.

Happy Birthday

Hello!  It's Andrea Shell with you today, and I'm thrilled to be a guest designer this month!  I just love Gerda's adorable illustrations: The sweet faces of her critters just make my heart melt.

Birthday cards are my favorite cards to make, and nothing says "Happy" like a big bunch of balloons!  I gave this cutie pie from Lovely Pandas a whole lot of balloons to hold by stamping and masking just the balloon of the image.  I stamped the panda separately and cut off the single balloon.  I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics.  I  hand-drew the strings with a black pen and fussy-cut both images.

To keep the focus on the panda and balloons, I kept the background pretty simple.  I used a cloud stencil and Tumbled Glass distress ink for the sky and green Copics for the grass.  I stamped a sentiment from Happy Hoppy with Versafine Onyx Black and adhered the panel to a white card.

I popped up the colored images with foam tape and added highlights with a white gel pen.  For some sparkle, I adhered clear sequins and brushed Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay onto the balloons.
