Shaker card by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends, Noga  here and I am so happy to share with you another project for Gerda Steiner Designs today.

My card featuring the new adorable PUPPIES & CAKE.

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. 

For the background, I die cut the double stitch window die out of white cardstock. 

Behind it, I ink blended a background using distress oxide in seedless preserves and victorian velvent, splashed it with water and glued it behind the window cover panel with foam tape.

than I created a shaker  and filled it with sequins.

Next I colored the adorable image using copic markers and glued it to my panel.

To finish of  I stamped a greeting from PEEKING OVER PUPPIES using black ink.

Did someone say cake?!?!?!?

Cake, treat, dinner, you name it and a pup is going to come running when they hear one of those words!!  And with Gerda Steiner Designs release of "Peeking Over Puppies" and "Puppies and Cake" they are sure to come running, or peeking out, at the sound of the word "cake!"

I thought the Knock Knock, Who's There? interactive die from Lawn Fawn was the perfect die to showcase these puppies and their readiness for a big old piece of cake!!  The little fence section that comes with the "Peeking Over Puppies" set works perfectly for setting the scene and hiding the pug until he hears the word "cake."  To accommodate the die, I stamped out the fence multiple times across the card about 1/2" above the bottom of the card and then just extended the lines of the fence with a black pen.

I fussy cut out the pups and for the two peeking over the fence, I cut out the paws separately, so they could hang over the fence.  I colored with copic markers with these breeds in mind:

Pug-E35, E33, E31

Goldendoodle-YR23, YR21, E43, E42

Shih Tzu-E47, E44, E43, E42, E41

Their noses are done with E79 and E74 white gel pen.

Fence-E25, E23, E21

Now, who's ready for some CAKE?!?!?

Paws To Read

I'm sooooo excited to be playing with Gerda Steiner Designs release of "Peaking Over Puppies" and "Puppies and Cake."  I usually like putting the images onto cards, but these puppies insisted on making an appearance on a bookmark.  This bookmark will be making its way to the local library where my sheltie, Lucy and I volunteer (we're a certified animal therapy team). Every Saturday, she looks forward to kids coming and practicing their reading while she listens on.

You don't need any special die to create a bookmark, but I happened to have a stitched bookmark die from Lawn Fawn that I used for this one.  It's so much fun to mix and match the puppies from the two sets, but I thought these four fit this one quite nicely.  I fussy cut out the images and also cut the paws out separately so it would look like they were hanging on to the bookmark.

I chose to identify the breeds in this bookmark as a bulldog, a pug, a shih tzu, and a shetland sheepdog (the latter of course in honor of Lucy).  I actually used Google AI to help identify some copic color combinations by breed:

Bulldog-E55, E53, E50

Pug-E35, E33, E31

Shih Tzu-E47, E44, E43, E42, E41

Sheltie-E35, E33, E31, E19, E18, E08

For all of their noses I used E79 and E74 and a white gel pen.

Who wouldn't love practicing reading with these cute little pups looking on, ready to mark (bookmark that is) the page.  Enjoy!!

My card featuring the new adorable PUPPIES  & CAKE  and PEEKING OVER PUPPIES stamp sets that are going to be release TOMORROW!

This set is perfect for your birthday cards.

To make this card I took an A2 panel of plaid cardstock. 

For the background, I die cut a rectangle panel die out of white cardstock. 

Behind it, I ink blended a background using Distress Oxide in saltwater taffy and splashed it with water and  white paint.

Next I colored the sweet image using copic markers and glued it to my panel with foam tape for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from this set using black ink.

For a final touch, I added a white twine.

It's Time to PAW-TY with Cake!

 Greetings everyone! It's me again, Jessie Scott (@chevy.scott on IG) here to share a fun light up card with Gerda Steiner Designs products!

Today I have another fun collaboration with Pear Blossom Press products to share. The new release is here and I used both the Puppies and Cake with Peeking Over Puppies stamp sets for this light-up! Let's go!

I took pups from both sets and the cake from "Puppies and Cake" to make this scene. It takes a little masking (my biggest fear), but then it's super easy!

I was brave and trimmed the sentiment stamp to make a single line sentiment for the spot available on my card. 

Images were colored with my OLO Markers.  I'm still in love with them!
