Happy Summer Melon Muncher!!!

Hi there friends and fellow crafters. LeeAnn here with a fun Bridge Card I made using the Little Guinea Pig Melon Muncher 2x3 Stamp Set, and his digital Dino Melon Muncher friend. 

To make this card I first cut a panel of white cardstock 10 3/4" x 5 1/2", I scored this at 1 1/4", 2 1/4" and 3 1/4", turned it to the other end and scored at the same measurements. This once folding on the score lines will leave a base 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". I cut cardstock in Green and Pattern Paper to fit the panels. The 2 sides were cut green- 1 1/4" x 5 1/2", and the pattern paper is 1" x 5 1/4". The inside panel is 4" x 5 1/2" for the green and 3 3/4" x 5 1/4" for the pattern paper. 
The watermelon slice is a die from MFT. 
On the back my card panel where the sentiment can be written is 3" x 10" scored at 5". I purchased the Digital Dino (also available as a clear stamp set) from the Gerda Steiner Shop and thought he would be so cute on the back. I colored him and the Guinea pig with Copic Markers.

Hi there friends and fellow crafters, LeeAnn here with my second project of my guest design spot. 

 I LOVE this little guinea pig as much as he loves his watermelon. Now, I'm wondering if I am part guinea pig as I have been eating a whole lot of watermelon this summer. 
I stamped this little guy with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. The background pattern paper is from Craft Consortium called Tropical Paradise.

Happy Summer!  Kathy here sharing a sweet summer card featuring the adorable MELON MUNCHER stamp set!

I hope you are enjoying these last days of summer not to mention some yummy summer fruit favorites like watermelon!

For my card, I first layered dark green cardstock to the card base.  I then added this pattern paper layer, putting glaze on the "watermelon pits" to make them shiny.  Using a pierced circle die, I cut dark green, black and lime green cardstock and layered them together for the backdrop for this super sweet MELON MUNCHER image which is copic colored and fussy cut.  The sentiment from this set is white heat embossed on a black cardstock mini tag and I added a lime bow.

Hey, Crafty Friends!  Kathy here and I'm super excited to share my first card as a Gerda Steiner Guest Designer!

One of the best parts of summer is the yummy fruit - especially watermelon!  This little cutie can't get enough of his juicy melon!

 

For my card, I layered lime green cardstock to the card base.  I embossed a piece of pink cardstock to layer on top of that.  I had a strip of watermelon pattern paper in my stash which worked perfectly for this set then created a framed background for this adorable MELON MUNCHER stamp set. I copic colored the image and then fussy cut it before popping it up on the framed background.  The 'happy summer' sentiment is included in the set.  To finish, I added several black shiny enamel dots.

I'm back today with another fun summer themed project featuring the newest release from Gerda Steiner Designs - Melon Muncher 2x3 Clear Set.  

For this card, I began with the watermelon designer paper from BoBunny Celebrating Freedom collection.  The guinea pig image was colored with Copic markers and die cut then layered onto Stampin' Up! Real Red and Basic Black card stock.  A few black enamel dots and coordinating sentiment complete the card.

Supplies Used for my project:  Gerda Steiner Designs Melon Muncher stamp set, BoBunny Celebrating Freedom paper pad, Stampin' Up! Real Red and Basic Black card stock, Eyelet Outlet & Beads enamel dots, Spellbinder Standard Circles Small and Petite Scalloped Circles Large die cuts.

Melon Muncher Summer Card

 Hi!  My name is Cynthia Olheiser and I'm very excited to be Guest Designing for Gerda Steiner Designs this month.  I have been creating with GSD clear stamps and digital stamps for several years.  I love the sweet critters that Gerda designs.

For my first project I've created a stenciled scene with the sweet Guinea Pig and watermelon from the Melon Muncher set.

My project began by stamping the guinea pig image onto X-Press It card stock and masking.  I then used washi tape to frame my scene area for stenciling.  The My Favorite Things Sun Ray stencil was then layered and taped to my work surface.

The scene was created by ink blending the stencil with Tim Holtz distress inks - Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Mowed Lawn.  I colored the image was Copic Markers.  A Green Olive 167 Faber-Castell Pitt pen was used for the hand drawn grass.

I finished with a few gems from my stash.  The coordinating sentiment was stamped and layered onto black card stock from Stampin' Up!
