Melon Wreath!

Hello! I’m honored to have a card featured in the Gerda Steiner Designs blog. Today I am sharing the adorable Melon Muncher 2x3 stamp set.

This card base is made with Neenah Solar White 110# card stock. The critter and melons are made from Neenah solar white 80# card stock. After fussy cutting him out, I cut out the melon and used it to create several melons in half and quarter size to make a wreath. I used Copic Sketch markers to color the guinea pig and melons and then popped them up for a little dimension with some foam adhesive dots.

To continue the melon theme, I used an Altenew stencil for the background in shades of green from the Simon Says Pawsitively Saturated ink line and some black splatter to suggest seeds. Using the sentiment included in the stamp set is perfect because what says HELLO SUMMER better than a juicy red watermelon?

IT MOOSE BE YOUR BIRTHDAY by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends,  Noga here and I am so happy to share with you another project for Gerda Steiner Designs today.

My card featuring the adorable Moose Love 4x6 Clear Stamp Set and Moose Love Die Set.

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock. The background was created by blended cracked pistachio distress oxide ink.
I spired some water onto it and soaked it up with paper towel.

Next I colored the adorable image using copic markers. I added a birthday hat from On the Table 4x6 Clear Stamp Set and glued all the images to my panel.

Next I stamped a greeting from this stamp set using white embossing powder, I want that the sentence will be like a part from the sea background.

To finish off, I added a white scallop frame and some clear sequins for decoration.

I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Sweater Weather

Happy Fall! It's hard to believe but the evenings here in North Dakota are starting to get cool and grabbing a cuddly sweater is just the ticket to fending off the evening chill!

I'm so happy to joining you all again this week with more inspiration using Gerda Steiner Designs, Pumpkin Mouse stamp set. I've really enjoyed my time as a guest designer for GSD and I hope I will inspire you to give this adorable stamp set a try!

I grabbed a sweater die cut and placed it into my MISTI placing the row of pumpkin stamp on to the sweater. I masked off the sleeves so I wouldn't accidentally get the image on them. After stamping the image, I colored the image with copic markers. If you don't have a sweater die, you could find an image on the internet and fussy cut it out to use.

I know it can be scary but one of the benefits of cling stamps is that you can cut the sentiments apart. I didn't want a long sentiment for my card so I cut the sentiment in half and made a sentiment that fit my card better. To add a bit of interest to the background, I took the panel and scored the cardstock every 1/2" without scoring by the sentiment. I added a piece of designer paper and strip of gold glitter washi tape to complete my card.

I just adore this card! It was so simple to make. I started out using a couple of different patterned papers, cutting one at an angle to give some interest to the background. I added the strip sentiment and a diecut sweater. To complete the card, I added a stamped image of the adorable mouse from the Pumpkin Mouse stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs. A couple of enamel dots as embellishments complete the card.

I hope I've inspired you to give this stamp set a try...I had a blast playing with it!

Thanks as always for stopping by and I hope to see you again soon,

Dee
