Happy Birthday....!!

 Hey my crafty friends...

It's Ashlee here and I have some clean and simple inspiration for you today...

I chose to do a simple foiled Happy birthday sentiment and add some gorgeous "Gerda Steiner" images from the "Birthday bear" stamp set!!

I coloured up the images using a mix of Altenew and Spectrum Noir tri-blend markers and then added them to the cardbase using some foam tape to give some dimension to the card....

A touch of sequins adhered to the card with Glue dots and the card was complete...

I like the pretty and simple finish to this card, what do you think?!

Happy crafting everyone, Hugs Ashlee

Fall Scene with Pumpkin Bear

 Happy Thursday Crafty Friends!!

Cathy here today with a Fall scene card featuring the adorable Pumpkin Bear stamps!

This is a pretty simple scene to create. I cut a piece of white cardstock 3 3/4" x 5" and inked an Autumn sky using Ripe Persimmon, Scattered Straw, Tattered Rose and Antique Linen distress inks with a sun ray stencil from my stash.

I die-cut a few hillsides and inked them with Shabby Shutters distress ink and then colored up a fence and tree die-cuts with Copic markers.

The leaves are starting to turn here and nights are getting chillier, so I'm definitely in the Fall mood!

Hope you're having a wonderful crafty week!

Who Let the Reindeer Out?!

Hello, and welcome! It’s Karen here again and I’ve got two Christmas cards to share with you today featuring the Reindeer and a Tree stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs.  We’ve had our Thanksgiving here in Canada, and Halloween is almost here, so I’ve been on a roll making Christmas cards lately - I hope that’s not too early for you!  I’m trying very hard to use my stamps and dies more frequently but in different ways, so since I had two cards made with this set, I thought I’d share both of them with you.

I stamped all the adorable reindeer and the Santa images and copic coloured them in (copic markers used are listed below), and then cut out my images.  I used a snow marker (Marvy Embellishing Snow Marker) on Santa’s hat trim and pompom to give them some dimension. I also added some Glossy Accents to Rudolph’s nose and the collars.

For my background, I cut from white cardstock, 3 layers of the “Simply Diamonds“ die from PinkFresh Studios and saved one layer of the inner die cut pieces.  I ink blended these smaller, inset pieces with a mix of Distress Oxide inks in Festive Berries, Barn Door, Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive. After gluing together the die cut panels, I adhered them to my card base and then inset the ink blended pieces.

Then I adhered the reindeer and Santa with foam tape inside the diamonds on the panel.  The sentiment is from Picket Fence Studios “Santa’s Sleigh Ride” and I just thought it went well with all these somewhat mischievous looking reindeer. Finally, I added some Studio Katia Icy Sparkle crystals.

And for my second card ...

For this card, I copic coloured the images which are all from the same stamp set.  I added the ornaments, lights, and candy cane from the set because I wanted to make it look like the reindeer were having a little too much fun with the decorating.  I added some black cord around the reindeer with the lights, and glued it behind his back. Then I glued the lights around and under the cord.

I made the strip of patterned paper from various papers I had in my stash.  I cut them into strips and then used a tape gun to adhere them to a piece of cardstock on the diagonal. I embossed a piece of white cardstock for the bottom half.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set too - bonus! - and I just embossed it with gold embossing powder. I added a little ink blending behind the patterned strip with Distress Ink Festive Berries, and popped the reindeer up on foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you’re having a great day!

Copic markers used:

Reindeer - E51, E53, E25, E33, N6, N4, R20, R00, YR23 and R29
Santa - R39, R29, R35, N6, N4, YR23, C0, C1, C2, E000, R20, R00

Happy halloween - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today I am posting a new card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. I have made a halloween card with the clear stamp set Peekin' pumpkin kitty from Gerda Steiner designs. I have stamped the image on Aquarelpapier smooth Wit 200g A6 from Vaessen creative with Versafine clair nocturne ink and then I embossed the image with clear embossingpowder. I have coloured the image with my Distress inks.

I have die-cut the image with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 33 from Crealies and then I glued the image on a scalloped circle that I have die-cut from black cardstock with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 53 from Crealies. I have used a black card. I glued orange patterned paper on the card from the Tiny check brights paperpad from My favorite things after I have die-cut it with the Crea-nest-lies XXL 34 from Crealies and then I glued it on the card. I have tied black seam binding around the front of the card and then I glued the circle on the card. Under the image I have stamped a sentiment from the set Peekin' pumpkin kitty from Gerda Steiner designs

Halloween card by Noga Shefer

Hi crafty friends,  Noga here and I am so happy to share with you another project for GSD today.

My card featuring the adorable Ghosts Stamp Set  and Ghosts Die Set.

To make this card I took an A2 panel of Bristol smooth cardstock.

The background was created by blending twisted citron distress oxide ink,
I spired some water onto it and soaked it up with paper towel.

Next I colored the images using copic markers and glued them to my panel with foam tape for dimension.

Next I stamped a greeting from this stamp set using black ink.
For a final touch, I added some clear sequins and black bakers twine.

I hope you enjoy the card I created and feel inspired to create!

Fall Foxes

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp set named, Foxes. Fall is my favorite season so I just had to create a card using it and the foxes are so perfect for it!

I wanted to create a background to use wreath in this set and a door was the perfect background. I had to pull some door shaped dies to help with this. This die is bigger than an A2 card so I had to create 5x7 card. Once I created the background, I stamped and colored two foxes and the wreath from this set to decorate the door. I just love how adorable they look.

Using a brick stencil, I added a bit of color and dimension to the side of the door.  To finish off this card, I pulled the sentiments from Bunny Friends. I liked how large they were to go along with the door. I like the sentiments in the Foxes set too but it seemed a bit small for it.

I adore how this card turned out and really gives me the fall vibes! Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

Let's have coffee - Larissa

Hi everyone, I am Larissa from Car-d-elicious and today it is my turn to post a card on the blog from Gerda Steiner designs. This time I have made a card with the Warm fuzzies clear stamp from Gerda Steiner designs. This image is also available as a digital stamp: Warm fuzzies digital stamp. I have stamped the image with Versafine clair nocturne ink on watercolour paper and then I embossed the image with clear embossingpowder. Then I coloured the image with Distress inks and then I have fussy cut the image.

I decided to make a "mini slimline" card again from white cardstock. On my card I have glued blue and white patterned paper from the Spots & brights paperpad (retired) from Sugarpea designs and then I cut a hole in it with a die from the set Snijmallen DL "Slimline kaart 2" from Carlijn design. After I glued the patterned paper on my card I glued the image with foamtape on the card. On a strip of white cardstock I have stamped a sentiment from the set Coffeesaurus clear stamp from Gerda Steiner designs with Versafine clair nocturne ink and then I embossed the sentiment with clear embossingpowder. I have coloured the strip with Picked raspberry Distress ink and glued it with foamtape on the card. I have also diie-cut a couple of flowers from white cardstock after I first coloured it with the pink ink. I added a coupleof leaves from green cardstock and then I glued the flowers with foamtape on the card. I have decorated the flowers with white pearls.

Spooky Ghosts

Hi everyone! It’s Jeannie (InsideoutJeans) on the blog today with Gerda Steiner Design’s stamp set named, Ghosts

A month ago, I used the same Ghosts stamp set to create a flashlight card. If you missed it, stop by to check it out as it comes with a video as well.

Today, I really wanted to use these ghosts heat embossed on vellum to give them the translucent look. I did fussy cut the images out but it was totally worth it. I created this background using a October night sky stencil to create the spooky vibe.

These ghosts are so fun for Halloween. I love it so much.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you get inspired to create. Come back again soon for more inspiration and ideas! Happy Crafting!

I like the way you roll....!!

Hey my friends...

It's Ashlee here today and I've got a colourful card to share with you today using the "Llama tell youstamp set....

I coloured up the cute armadillos using Spoectrum noir tri-blend markers in some fun colours so they would pop off the card...

I used some plaid paper from Lawn Fawn for the card base and also on some of the pieces for the cute little tags die cut from the Sunny studio window quad square die...

I made four of the little tags and added some paper twine to each of them before adding them to the card base with foam tape!!

I added the "I like the way you roll" sentiment also from the Llama tell you stamp set and finished the card off with some pretty Catherine Pooler sequins!!....

What do you think of this colourful card with these armadillos??!!
I really hope you enjoyed it!!

Happy crafting everyone...

Go Wild!

Hi Friends! Cathy here today from "Inkredible Adventures"sharing a fun birthday card using the Party Animals and Go Wild! clear stamp sets. These are two of my favorites and they just never get old!

For the background of this card, I've die-cut an animal print cover plate die from Momenta out of black cardstock and glued it to the card base. I then cut a 3" x 4" piece of white cardstock and inked it with Old Paper distress ink. I die-cut the top edge of the cardstock piece with a stitched rolling hills die and glued it to the bottom of the card front.

For a little African savanna scene, I die-cut a circle from white cardstock and inked the top portion with Ripe Persimmon and Scattered Straw distress ink. I die-cut the circle again from black cardstock and used a safari skyline die from Club La-La Land Crafts across the center of the die-cut circle and then glued the circle die-cuts together.

I colored all of the critters and the jeep with Copics, fussy cut them out and glued them to the card front as shown. Since they're driving a little wild, I dabbed a little white gouache around the tires with a paint brush to indicate a little dust and movement.

Hope you've enjoyed and have a great crafty week!

Slimline Christmas Card with a Bonus Card!

Hello and welcome - it’s Karen here today.  I’ve got a slimline card that features the Carol Kittens stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs as well as one of the puppies from the Howl are You set and one of the kittens from the Christmas Kittens set. My card took a bit of a left turn along the way, and I ended up with a second bonus card for you, so you can see that card at the end of this post.

I’ve made a video showing how I made this card, so if you would like to see the video in HD, PLEASE CLICK HERE.

I started my card by cutting a piece of Strathmore watercolour paper to be about 9 x 4”, slightly larger than my rectangular die, and I taped it down to an old cutting board. After wetting it, I dropped in some Distress Ink reinkers in Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet and Dusty Concord. Once this was dry, I spattered it with some Kuretake Starry Colors paint in gold and let it dry.

I used a Trinity Stamps die called Wonky Stitched Wilderness slimline series to cut out my background. I also embossed some of the stars that come with this die set.  I coloured all my images with Copic markers and have listed them below, and then cut them out. I applied some glossy accents to the dogs’ collar and the ornaments. I also die cut a snowbank from white cardstock using the Lawn Fawn Hillside border dies.

When I went to assemble my card, things took a left turn.  I felt that the puppy was rather lost amongst all the kittens, but he was meant to be the singing star of the card.  So I removed the Christmas kitten in the tree (who I thought was looking very startled by the dogs’ singing), and he shows up later in the bonus card.  I die cut some trees from Sunny Studios Woodland Borders die set and covered them with Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste.

I embossed and heat set the words “Joy”, “The World” and the musical symbols (all from the Carol Kittens stamp set), using some Stampendous Pearlustre Moonstone embossing powder onto my snowbank border.  I also used the word stamp “To Youuuuuuuu!!!” from the Howl are You set and changed it to “Tooooooooo” by masking and rotating the stamp to only stamp and emboss the bottom of the u’s.  I then cut this out to make a speech bubble.

To assemble my card, I foam mounted the snowbank and adhered it to the background.  I added some Nuvo shimmer pen just along the edge of the snowbank and then adhered the rest of my images. Finally, I glued the speech bubble in place to complete my card.  I love how that tabby kitten looks somewhat worried by the dog’s howling.

And for the Bonus Card ...

So even though I had this card done, I still had that kitten in the tree image coloured and cut, so I decided to make a second card with it.  I coloured one of the other kittens in the Christmas Kittens set, as well as the tree branches.

I die cut a panel of white cardstock with a wonky stitched rectangle die, and cut a lift the flap circle on this.  I heat embossed the “naughty or nice” sentiment around the flap in Stampendous Pearlustre Moonstone embossing powder.  I did the same for the word “Lift” on the flap.  I die cut a frame of gold foil cardstock and adhered this to my card base.  I glued the kitten in the tree in place so he would show up behind the flap, and then adhered my white rectangle panel to the card base.  I added the second kitten below the flap, and glued the tree branches over the flap itself.  I added glossy accents to all the ornaments. On the inside, I stamped the sentiment and added the broken ornament.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you’re having a great day!
