it's Tanja here today. I fell in love with this Peeking Panda the moment I first saw him:

• color the Peeking Panda with Delta Markers and add details with a white gel pen
• cut out a tag from watercolor paper
• stamp a Graph Paper background with Distress Ink (Hickory Smoke)
• apply MicroGlaze through a stencil
• add Distress Stains (Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Salty Ocean) to your craft sheet, mist them with water and press the tag into the mixture; repeat the process until you are satisfied with the result
• use the leftover stain to dye a piece of seam binding
• cut out the Clearly Besotted hello and the Memory Box Cosmic Star Set from teal foiled cardstock

I think this tag turned out really lovely.

Make Your Monsters Shine

I've had a brief love affair with foil, and today's card reflects those few passionate (and frustrating moments). It was a brief affair mainly because I bought a cheap laminator and the foil didn't stick down properly on my printed patterns, so it wasn't joy to use. Despite all of that, I think this card featuring the monster clear stamps turned out pretty neat.

If you don't have foil or a foiling machine, you can achieve a similar look with Gilding Flakes. I've used them often with stamped images and the results are just lovely. No need for a laminator, hot iron, or laser printer. You can simply stamp a pattern with glue and apply your flakes — and voila.

As you can see, I kept the card design very simple and basic to really have the shimmer of the foil take center stage and draw the focus to the monster in the middle. The sentiment, stamped in pigment ink, matches the overall color scheme and is a nice change from my standard black sentiments.

Mom - U Rock!

it's Tanja here with a super cute Mom-Son-Card:

• cut out a stitchted rectangle from watercolor paper
• stamp the smallest snowman from the Gerda Steiner Designs Snowman Friends stamp set with Versafine (Smokey Gray) - I use Versafine whenever I am coloring with watercolors because this ink doesn't bleed when getting into contact with water and doesn't stain your stamps - and mask him with Eclipse Tape
• stamp the "Mom" snowman with the same ink and mask her as well
• mask a hillshape
• stamp some birch trees in the background
• remove the hillshape mask and use the negative to cover the rest of the card
• apply Versamark and heat-emboss the snowy hill with JudiKins White Diamond embossing powder
• color the images, the tress and the background with Derwent Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush - as you see, you can use those for soft and pastel coloring as well
• add Liquid Applique to the rims and pompons of the caps
• stamp the U Rock! sentiment with Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Cornflower Blue) onto light grey cardstock
• use this same light grey cardstock as a cardbase and stamp a snowflake background with Delicata (Shimmery Silver)

2 Cards with same stamp set Hippo in Disguise

Meowy Christmas!

It's Wiebke here today! :) I want to share with you a christmas card using Gerda Steiner Designs newest Deck the Halls stamp set with the cute little kitty!

Yes, I know! It's maybe a bit too early for christmas cards, but it was so cold lately here in Germany.. the atmosphere was almost perfect. And there are so dang cute new christmas sets out there! Be prepared for lots of great inspiration coming up!

I'm totally addicted to nightsky backgrounds! But is there a time of the year, which suits it much better? "All is calm, all is bright" ;)

I decided on giving the cute kitty a carton where he might have stolen all of the lights from. And I think the sentiment "Meowy Christmas" is absolutely cute!

• stamp the monster from the Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Party set with Versafine (Onyx Black) 
• mask off the monster and stamp the coffee cup from the same set
• mask the cup off as well and create a background using Distress Inks (Cracked Pistacchio, Peacock Feathers) and a Mini Ink Blending Tool
• color the images with Spectrum Noir Pencils and Zest-it
• add details with a white gel pen
• cut out a scallopped panel
• add te sentiment from the same stamp set using Versafine (Onyx Black)
• adhere the cardpanel to a kraft cardbase
• cover the little heart on the cup with the Pico Embellisher (Shimmer)

Combining Halloween Digis with Stencils Backgrounds

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess from JessCrafts.com. Today I am sharing a card made with the Halloween Cat Bat Owl digital set. This is an amazing value. You get 5 digital stamps for just $2.50! I colored the two large images and paired them with a stenciled background. For more on how I made them check out my video.

I love how you can resize digital stamps to fit your project. I really wanted these critters to be prominent but let the background also shine and being able to adjust the scale of them really helped with those goals.

The standalone pumpkin and hat in the set are particularly awesome because you can combine them with other stamps to make a non-holiday set work for Halloween. Just re-size them to fit the scale of the other stamp, fussy cut and assemble.

Happy Birthday Squirrel

it's Tanja here today and I am featuring the super cute Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Fall! stamp set:

• cut out a tag and stamp the adorable squirrel from the Gerda Steiner Designs Happy Fall stamp set with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)
• mask the squirrel and create a background using Distress Inks (Antique Linen, Frayed Burlap, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean) and the Hero Arts Cloudy stencil
• ink up the edges of the tag with Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap)
• color the image with Prismacolor Colored Pencils, Zest-it and a white gel pen
• add Glossy Accents to his nose
• stamp some of the notes from the new stamp set with Versafine (Onyx Black)
• thread natural jute twine through the hole of the tag
• cut out three washi tape strips and patterned paper
• stamp a Linen Background with Distress Ink (Frayed Burlap) onto a stitched kraft panel
• stamp the "happy birthday" sentiment with Memento Luxe (Rich Cocoa)
• use kraft cardstock as a base

Video: Grumpy Coffee Monster

Hi everyone, I'm back with another fun card featuring the monsters. As I threatened you with, you will be seeing some more cards with this stamp set in the future. I love monsters, and these are just the cutest :-)

I had originally intended for this card to be a clean and simple one layer design, but I accidentally smooshed some ink from my finger onto the original card base so I couldn't keep it clean and simple anymore. This smear was just too obvious. My workaround, if I may call it that, was too fuzzy cut out the monster and the coffee cup and mount it onto a kraft card base, which works out perfectly with the coffee theme.

For additional interest, I added some twine which reflect the color of the monster and the brown of the coffee. A few gemstones at some sparkle.

Vellum Shaker Monster Kid in Rubber Stamp

This is Joyce from Enjoyscrappin2 and today I've made this simple vellum shaker card using Gerda's rubber stamp, Monster kid.  This adorable kid is available in both the digital and rubber stamp.  Gerda's rubber stamps are super high quality and very deeply etched, which will give you a fantastic impression, each and every time.  Her rubber stamp comes in bare rubber form, which means it doesn't have the foam that you normally use to stick onto your acrylic block.  You can mount them yourself very easily, using the cling foam mount.  However, I prefer to use mine a little differently, which I share on this video.  I stamped out the image onto a watercolor paper and used the faber castell's watercolor pencils.  I also made this simple shaker element using the colored vellum, as you see in the picture.  Go ahead and check out the video for more information on how I made this easy shaker.  All the supplies I used will be linked in my blog, if you 'd like to check that out as well.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and I hope to catch you guys next time.  Thanks again.

Disguised Superman Hippo

Hey everyone! It's Wiebke here today!
Can you tell how happy I was when I held the new released stamp sets from Gerda Steiner Designs in my hands a few days ago?? I was prepared for some cute new stamp sets, but these ones made their way directly into my crafty heart - Omg! If you already haven't, you should go and check them out HERE. Everything you need for cute halloween and christmas cards :)

But it's not yet time for christmas - I wanted to show you at first my card featuring one of the new Mini Stamp Sets: Hippo in Disguise. What a cutiepie!

I finally (!) used Gerda Steiner Designs famous Hippo for the first time, yay! You get some nice build-up-stamps on that set to dress him like a superhero. But you can also stamp him "blank" without all of the superhero accessories. That's what I really like about that set! You can stretch your stamps just how you like it. Well, I colored him in the popular Superman colors and hand-drew a kind of a flame which I glued directly under his feet, so it looks like he's flying!

I color blended a dark night sky with some Distress Inks and splashed some water droplets on it so that you get that starry look. I added some points with my white gel pen and also some Wink of Stella (which you can't see on the pictures).

The last thing I did, was the little sentiment on the bottom of the card. I heat embossed the sentiment from the Happy Fall stamp set with my white embossingpowder and placed it on a stripe of Washi Tape, which used to be the embellished finishing touch.

Do I SMELL CAKE?

Hello friends, it's Chitra here with a card for you all!!! I played with our new Monster Party stamp set again, this grumpy monster is so cute that I had to make a card with him again!!!

Here is how I made this card: 1) I first stamped the tiny images included in the set using a black ink and then used back of a tiny stamp to do some abstract stamping (if you have a solid stamps i.e; which is not a image you can use that as well).
2) Then I stamped the monster onto Crafter's Companion ultra smooth cardstock and colored using copics.
3) To mute the background so the focus could be on the monster I added a piece of vellum and then foam mounted the image.
4) The sentiment "Do I Smell" is stamped directly onto vellum and "CAKE?" is stamped on a white cardstock and cut it out and foam mounted it.
5) Finally added some details to the image; white dots to his body and glossy accents to the eyes.

Grumpy Monster

it's Tanja here for you today and I would like to show you this layered monster card:

• stamp the grumpy monster from Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Party with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color the image with Delta Markers and Wink of Stella Glitter Pens
• add details with a white gel pen
• cut out two polaroid frames from woodgrain patterned paper and a scribble from vellum
• hold the layers together with a tiny wooden clothespin
• create a background by adhering patterned paper cut at an angle to a white cardbase
• stamp the sentiment with one of your alphabet stamp sets and Versafine (Onyx Black)
• add enamel dots as final embellishments

Paper Piecing With Gerda Steiner Designs Monster Fun

This is Joyce from Enjoyscrappin2.com and today I'm suing this Monster Fun Stamp set again, I just adore these monsters.  Instead of coloring today, I'll be doing some paper piecing.  I'm sure all of us have tons and tons of scraps from pattern papers so this is a perfect way to use up some of those scraps.  I fussy cut out the monsters and attached them to the circles, also back with some scraps of pattern paper.  I do have a tutorial on this card below if you like to check that out.  I thank you guys so much for stopping by and I'll catch you guys next time.  Thanks again 

Rainbow Kite Card featuring Happy Fall

Hello crafty friends! It's Jess from JessCrafts.com. Today I am sharing a card made with the Happy Fall, and Heavy Friends stamp sets. I love using a rainbow of colors and thought the kits would work perfectly for that. I fussy cut the diamond area of the kites so that I could easily layer them and drew in my own strings. You Are How Old?

Hello friends, it's Chitra here with a card for you all!!! I played with the new Monster Party stamp set, really love this set and here is my card...

I kind of created a space scene for the grumpy monster ;) 
First I took a white panel and sponged some blue and purple distress ink for the background, for the planet I took some cork sheet and cut it free hand for the monster to stand on. The stars are die cut using Simon Says Stamp Holiday Shapes.
The balloon is from Late but with Love stamp set which is paper pieced on a red cardstock. I added some white dots on the monster and added glossy accents to the eyes, highlighted the balloon and also added some glitter. The sentiment is added directly onto the cork sheet.

• color the cute little Gerda Steiner Designs Cheese Please Bunny! with Delta Markers and add details with a white gel pen
• stamp the luggage from Paper Smooches Get outta Town with Memento (Tuxedo Black) and color them with Delta Markers as well
• create a background on watercolor paper using the Tim Holtz Layering Stencil (Rays) and Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Scattered Straw)
• cut out a circle from a Neenah Desert Storm Kraft cardbase
• stamp the sentiment and the cameras from BoBunny Captured with Versafine (Vintage Sepia)

I sure hope that you like my cute bunny holiday card.
