I wish you a happy birthday, human!!

Hi there!

It's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time!!
I am so happy to be sharing with you this card since I had a very good time making it!

I love creating scenes in my cards and today, I mixed some stamps and dies to create this! A cute allien wishing you "Happy birthday" by Skype?? Why not?? :))

You can find this super fun alien in "Blast off" stamps set. The sentiment is from "Alien invasion" stamps set and the planet I stamped on the card too. The cute stars are from both sets.

Firstly, I stamped the computer from Mama Elephant, I masked it and I stamped the allien. Then, I coloured it as well as the rest of the stamps. I thought it could be fun to stamp part of a planet on a card masking it too. Once I had everything coloured, I die cut the rest of the stamps and I started thinking about how to display the scene. Most of the elements have got foam to give them some dimenssion.

I decided to stamp the sentiment with two colours following the combo I had choosen for this card and I used some borders dies to give some interest to the panel and the card base.
I don't know why but I can't finish a card without Wink of Stella Clear!! :-))  It's not easy to take the picture with this shine but I think you can imagine!

I believe this is a different way to use these stamps that are mainly thought to make space or galaxy cards. Or at least, it is the first idea that come to your mind when you have these stamps in your hands!

I think these sets have lots of possibilities!!!

See you soon, human and enjoy the rest of the week!! ;)

Welcome, human!

Hey everyone! It's Wiebke here for you today :)
I have a card for you featuring the awesome Alien Invasion and Blast Off stamp sets!

First of all, I put some tape on my watercolor cardstock to get that big stripe on which I blended dark blue and violet Distress Ink colors. Of course you need to heat emboss the stars before so that they shine through :) Then I colored in my elements and placed them in the scene.

Thanks for joining me today :)

Have a great day!

Thinking of you Astronaut

Hi there,

it's Tanja here and I would like to show you a creation using the new Gerda Steiner Designs Blast Off stamp set:

  • color the images from the Gerda Steiner Designs Blast Off stamp set using Delta and Touch Twin Markers
  • add highlights with a white gel pen
  • create a background on a stitched watercolor paper panel using Distress Inks (Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire, Black Soot) and the Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • cut out stars from the background panel and adhere a piece of silver glitter cardstock behind it
  • stamp the sentiment from the Gerda Steiner Designs Holiday Friends stamp set with Versamark and heat-emboss it with silver embossing powder - since I didn't need the "THIS" I just cut the clear stamp apart but I will always be able to mount the two parts onto an acrylic block just as they were supposed to be
Thanks for stopping by today.

Yours,

Have a quacking good time!!

Hi there,

it's Yolanda here, from Scraping Time! I hope you had a great time these weeks!
Today, I wanted to make a colourful card since spring has arrived and everything looks great around here!!
Since the first time I  saw the "Brush bunny stamp set" I knew I wanted to make a card like this, so I bought this easel die from Paper Smooches so that my bunny could paint anything!!

I think that duck is having a cuack time!! ;)

Firstly, I die cut the easel and I painted my scene with some Peerless Watercolor, painting randomly the sea and with a water paint brush, the sun. I put some wink of stella clear on both before stamping, colouring, fussy cutting and adding the duck.

Then, I inked the clouds with Memento Blue Sky ink and I die cut a piece of cardstock that I inked with Lawn Fawn green ink.
At last, I stamped and coloured my bunny and added it to the scene.
I used a wood paper to stamp my sentiment with fine detail white embossing powder and added a yellow staple on it.

I love creating scenes in my cards and I enjoyed a lot making this! I hope you like it and see you soon!!

Stamped Critter Background

Hey everyone! It's Wiebke here! I'm a little late today, but excited as always to show you my card for this monday! :)

What about creating your own patterned background? It is so easy and fun to create! I stamped all of these cute critters and elements on a piece of watercolor paper (Versafine works very well with water). Then I looked for a few beautiful Distress Inks to color my elements. When you put several layers of water on each other, you'll get that messy watercolor look. I also splashed some waterdroplets on it plus some white ink splashes. A few lighter dots add more interest to your card! :)
Oh and I like to use black sentiments - specially on a colorful background! (there might be a comma  missing between "birthday" and "awesome"... )

The stamp sets, which I used: Just SentimentsHappy HoppyLucky DuckHow are Ewe

I hope you like it! Have a great day!
